The opening episode of Chuck Season 3 is the worst episode of TV ever

(SPOILERS)
What in the actual frick?
He turns down a life with Sarah to try and be a spy? That is absolutely not the path the Chuck we knew would have done. He specifically doesn't (didn't) want to be a spy.
And on top of that he's back working at the fricking Buy More? Basically nothing has changed at all. And his relationship with Sarah is over and basically we're going to have to go through the whole process of them fighting their feelings and shite again. Basically all that's changed is Chuck can fight, wooptie fricking doo.
This show is very very fantastic so far but oh my god I am so mad

Oh and fricking Big Mike is the manager again?
Literally may have well not have even watched the first 2 seasons, everything is back to the beginning of season 1.
Yes to answer your question I am mad

You sound like me bitching about Barney marrying Robin in HIMYM

Settle down, the 3rd season was fricking epic

The writers on that show had to constantly write season finales that could also be series finales.
Why are you mad he's back at the Buy More? That means more Jeffster.

I'm sure it will be, but it's just bull shite the way this is set up. Chuck spent 2 seasons trying to get Sarah. He finally got her and so he throws it away to be a spy? Something he specifically didn't want to be?
That never ever would have happened.

Chuck changes and his character develops.

They'll explain it later. It wasn't a fantastic reason but it was enough for me to buy it and keep the show going

They really should have ended it after the third season. Just edit out the last five minutes of the Season 3 finale and it would have been the perfect way to end the series. Instead, they pointlessly dragged it out without having any semblance of an idea on how to end the series. It was terrible to watch.

I understand he can change. I don't necessarily have a huge problem with him changing his mind bc I thought it was a little silly how against it he was TBH.
But he chooses it over Sarah? He wouldn't have done that. There better be some better reason besides that and I'll eat my words. But that's some BS if he chose training to be a spy over Sarah

I enjoyed the hell outta season 4 and season 5.

I actually enjoyed the ending
I saw a lot of people complaining about the ending before I watched it and was prepared for something bad, but I thought they ended it about as well as the could have

Just got to it. He chose to be a spy to save people and protect his friends and family, meh...
Shows awesome so I'll buy it I suppose, but meh

I also thought it was kinda lame that Chuck would choose the chance to be a spy over Sarah.
Rewatching the series now and I'm a little ahead of you so I don't want to give any spoilers by giving any opinion other than Chuck not wanting to abandon Ellie would have been a better reason not to run away with Sarah for his character.

Agree that this must have been difficult to do.

Yea that definitely would be a better reason. But damn man I'd run away with Sarah Walker if she wanted me to

Writers strike. Remember that

Wouldn't Sarah have been considered AWOL if they went and eloped? If so, I don't think Chuck would have been able to be comfortable with that kind of trouble hovering over their relationship.
