Just watched this with the family, and it’s a damn fine movie. The motion of the water and ships was stunning, and the battle scenes were extremely well done. Yeah I was completely surprised by this one; we all were really. No crazy wokeness in it; it was just good fun with a good story and great animotion effects.

I think I've seen it about 20 times now and I agree with you. It is a pretty cool concept and I am curious if there may be a second.

It's called the Sea Beast although I call it Sea Monster because that's what my daughter calls it

My four year old stepdaughter has figured out how to find her shows/movies on Netflix and whatnot herself. Well a couple of weeks ago she picked this out after we told her it was time to get comfy on the couch and try to take a nap and over the course of the first 30 minutes I went from just listening to it in the background, to somewhat paying attention, to getting into it. Then heard her say “Ehhh. I don’t like this one.” and changed it. Little shite

Me and my son watched it yesterday and it was definitely better than I thought it would be. The animation and story were both better than I thought we would see from an Netflix original.
