The Tourist on Netflix is pretty good

It’s about a guy who gets in a wreck in Australia and has amnesia, can’t even remember his own name. Then people start trying to kill him and a local cop helps him try to figure out why. It’s like Bourne Identity but with comedic elements. Well written with good drama, action and also some laugh out loud moments. I recommend it, only 6 episodes.
Season 2 premieres tomorrow.

Great show. Not sure how Netflix got it because it was a Max original when it released.

It looks like it was originally a joint British-Australian production. HBO then jumped on board to get the American rights, but has since dropped it.
I don’t know how long the first season is going to be available on Netflix. It looks like they might have been granted rights only for a limited time in conjunction with the release of S2 on their platform.

Season 2 was great. I think its one of the best shows on TV. Nothing groundbreaking, but highly enjoyable.

I binged this about a week back. It was entertaining. I would say it was good not great. Season 2 was better than season 1.

The whole I'm being chased by someone in a motor vehicle let me run down this road or across this open field instead of around all these stone walls and woods really ticks me off the first 2 episodes. And hey I get a spotty cell signal in this spot the call quality is crap why don't I just send a @#$#'ing text message.

The Tourist does a hilarious job of breaking established Hollywood plot tropes.
Start of S1: "this show is gonna be about a guy with memory loss winning back his con-artist ex-girlfriend…"
Then: " ex-girlfriend is dead, this show is gonna be about getting chased down by a Greek drug lord…"
Then: "drug lord is dead… this show is gonna be about getting chased down by a corrupt police detective…"
Then: "corrupt police detective dead, WTF is this show about?"
