Trailer

After the Brannock family moves into what was supposed to be their suburban dream home, it quickly becomes a living hell. Ominous letters from someone calling themself “The Watcher” are just the beginning as the neighborhood’s sinister secrets come spilling out. Inspired by the true story of the infamous “Watcher” house in New Jersey.

It's an interesting story if you read up on it, doesn't go where you think it will go.

From my understanding, they haven’t figured out who the watcher is.

Yeah, I remember reading that story (from a thread on the OT). There didn't seem to be any real resolution to it.

That was a while ago. But if you google The Watcher House, you'll get the article from thecut.com. That's the article that was linked in the thread.

Man, who the hell is this? I can't put my finger on where I know him from, and it's driving me nuts. But I checked the entire cast listing on IMDb and don't see him.

ETA: shite, it came to me as soon as I hit Submit. It's the dude who played Lincoln in Fringe.

ETA2: The actor is Seth Gabel, but he doesn't appear in the cast list on IMDb. Weird. Unless I am wrong and that's not who that is..?? I mean, is this not the same dude:

I'll definitely watch it. I know they have to do things to spruce it up obviously, but they never lived in the house nor ever saw a person I thought

I understand it’s a movie but this is actually nothing like the actual story.

They're obviously going to take some creative liberties with the story since they never found out who
The Watcher" was, but other than that, it looks a whole like the actual story...at least from the trailer.

I mean, there were no “sinister secrets”

Seems like they are taking a paranormal route with the movie when that had nothing to do with it
