Honestly it was a show ahead of its time and I think would have done great had it instead been released like four years later on Netflix. Comedy Central I don’t think appreciated what it had and since it didn’t get South Park numbers they prematurely cancelled it, despite being its funniest show since Chapelle’s Show.

For those not familiar, the show is where Forrest is a pompous buffoon reviewer but instead of reviewing film, music, or television, he reviews life or literally anything his audience asks him to review. It can range from actually divorcing his wife, to starting a cult, to being a midget. And as he continues to do his reviews, his personal life gets worse and worse to the point of completely ruining it. Like here was the tone in the divorce episode:

Some ideas coming to mind for reviews:

Being a cyborg
Going to Jeffrey Epstein’s Island
Being a terrorist
Being in an intergenerational relationship
Fighting Dolph Lundgren
Being a drug mule
Getting a sex change operation
Breaking out of prison
Being a cannibal

Any other good ideas for the show?

I think about Pancakes; Divorce; Pancakes often.

"This certainly is an upsetting number of pancakes" is something I quote whenever I see pancakes.

Review is awesome. I stumbled across it several years ago and fell in love with it. It's pretty funny all around, but some of it is top tier comedy. And the way it's done where they make it seem "real" is awesome. Great, great show and most people have never heard of it.

I don't even remember how I came across it (maybe this board?). But I caught an episode and loved it, then looked it up and it was just some random episode. So I watched them all in order. And it's only 3 seasons and 22 episodes, so it's very easy to binge through the whole series quickly. I may do a rewatch soon since it's been a few years since I've seen it now. But I thought it was strange how much I loved it and I had literally never heard of it before then. Did CC not advertise it much or something? It's right in my wheelhouse and I watched CC all the time back then.

I ruined it by binging it too much and it got repetitive

I have it on standby for when I want a comedy and don't have time to invest in something fully.

It was a bit dark and witty for what Comedy Central was going for. It definitely should have been a Netflix show and it would have thrived there.

I’ve come up with a few more ideas for Reviews that they’re free to take upon a reboot:

Visiting the RMS Titanic
Being a queer in Palestine
Climbing Mount Everest
Being Forrest Gump
Living in a Zombie Apocalypse
Being a walrus
Being a Mongolian War Lord
Being SpongeBob SquarePants
