Damn. Watched Michael Clayton not too long ago and had forgotten how great he was in that. He'd been around, so surely I'd seen him before, but the 1st movie I remember seeing him in was The Full Monty. Y'all remember how that little British indie came out of nowhere and took the world by storm that year? Anyway, RIP.

Ugh. This makes me so sad. I’ve enjoyed watching him over the years. Played a fantastic Ben Franklin in the HBO John Adams miniseries. And such a wide variety of roles too.

He was great in everything. Loved his work in Eternal Sunshine, John Adams, and Michael Clayton. Made every movie feel more legit because he was in it.

RIP

He was a fantastic actor. He's one of those actors that I was always happy when he showed up in a movie or television show. He was great in Michael Clayton, he was great in In the Bedroom, he was great in everything. He will be missed.

A truly fine actor. “Michael Clayton”, of course,
and “In the Bedroom” are standouts.
I saw the premier of In the Bedroom at Toronto International Film Festival with he and Sissy Spacek in attendance. I was very moved by his performance. It’s a real loss.
