Just watched this on Prime the other day. Found it entertaining, but holy plot holes batman I have so many questions (spoilers).

#1 - The guy blows himself up (and that chick) in the underground ufo and kills all the aliens. That bomb was massive - why didn't they just leave the bomb there and detonate it to begin with? They didn't even need the toxin.
#2 - When Pratt gets back with the toxin, nobody cares that he has the key to killing all the aliens. They just need to mass produce it and put it in their guns - they have 30 years to do that. That would probably be better than everyone panicking.
#3 - It doesn't make sense that the general (or whoever that guy is) isn't listening to Pratt with the solution to killing the aliens - he literally has no other options. I'm sure Russia would listen to the US if they said 'hey we have an idea that may work to kill the aliens'
#4 - I don't think they ever explained why the portal to the future shut down and they couldn't get it back. My own theory is that once Pratt got back with the toxin it changed the future so that future no longer existed.
#5 - Why was Pratt so hell bent on going back to the future to save his daughter? If he saves her in the present it doesn't matter.
#6 - In what timeline did Pratt leave his family and die in a car accident? Even before he jumped and when he got back, his character never seemed to be capable to doing that.

Don't get me started on how unrealistic it was how pissed his daughter was at him in the future. Anyway, great movie.

Time travel themes are tricky. Save for a few exceptions I’m not a fan.

Thought it was funny that all these people in the future who figured out time machines needed a high school science teacher and one of his students from 30 years ago to figure out the science and save the world.

I hate time travel stories. They always collapse on themselves

And the rest of us hate people that dissect every movie like it's a science experiment, and can't appreciate how much fun it is to watch a dad, & his daughter, try to save the world, over, and over, again.
