9 part documentary series starting with the first atom bomb and our rocky relationship with the soviets post Ww2 through the Cold War and all the way up to present day and Putin
As a younger man who wasn’t alive for most of this I’m eating this documentary up. About half way through and just got past the Cuban missile crisis and the kruschev-jfk era. Really good stuff if you’re into modern history
It even goes into the start of the CIA and the over throw of the Iranian and Guatemalan governments in the 50s which was eye opening

I'm on EP8, so not quite finished, but this is one hell of a documentary series. I love docs and this has proven to be one of the best I've seen.

halfway through
it's very interesting and all the history behind it
World War II and the ending definitely set the course for the future of the world in so many ways
the atomic bomb might very well be the most history changing event the world has ever known

I’m on the last episode and I’m with you. This is one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen. Really paints a great picture of Russian history and leadership through the turn of the century. I’ve always pictured Russia as a stoic, hardened super power that isn’t to be fricked with but in reality they’ve showed a lot of incompetence in their history. From the coup against Gorbachev that turned into a disaster, Yeltsin being a drunk idiot leader in the 90s, and the clumsy transition into capitalism in the early 90s that caused another famine. Not to say that America hasn’t had its share of downfalls, just never knew those things about Russia
Also, the Uranium transport from Kazakhstan after the Soviet Union fell = holy shite. That would make a great movie

I’m a few minutes into ep 1 and this thing is off to a bad start. A lot of nato figures and Zelenskyy himself contributing.
So far this doc appears to be nato propaganda, but I prefer not to be brainwashed thanks. I’m out
