Correct. His nickname is "Sack" as in "Sack lunch". He was a Parade Highschool All American linebacker. It's mentioned during either the football scene or the dinner team. Babaganoush was 1st team All-State at QB. Not a bad lineup for a backyard fb game.

I always thought the plot hole was the private eye being able to track them down in one day. They made up their surname, there would obvisouly be no NPO named "holy shirts and pants"... that's all The Big Sleazy. Tommy Gufano had to go on. He is a Wop Genius though....

You know, since so much plot occurred in that time, I never really thought about how efficient that was. Good catch. He really was a genius. Like, how would he even go about finding them? Did he just google search their pictures and get their law office website or something? It's not like they had Linkedin back then and facebook was still pretty tiny.

LinkedIn had been around for about 3 years when the movie came out. Not nearly as prominent as it is now. But it had been around and catching on.

Good point, it would have been fairly easy to prove they weren't real as venture capitalists, but proving who they really were would have been damn near impossible.

There would be the potential, in universe, for someone to find one of the boys' wallets and have that lead to the big break (Wallet falls out of Vince Vaughn's pants while being knocked down playing football, lands open side up briefly showing an ID or credit card with a clearly longer than 4 letter last name, leading Sack to try to sneak into a room and steal it at night once he puts 2 and 2 together and gets more suspicious of the brothers).

However, as we see Sack make the phone call to the PI using the fake names, that, or anything like it, didn't happen (even off camera).
