What are the best options for TV provider?

Currently have YouTubeTV and have been very pleased, however, it’s now up to $90/m.
Is it still the best platform for that many channels?

There aren't imo. The market is evoling back into cable prices. I have Dish at 145 a month. And I still have the apps. It's annoying and I hate what I pay but I wish it everyday.

Just moved into a new house in TN and we decided to try YouTube TV after getting prices from AT&T and Xfinity. $90 isn't the bargain it used to be but it's still cheaper than the other options for us. Plus we have Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu (no ads) and in total is still cheaper than the cable "deals/bundles."

At work we have tv, internet, phone package with charter.
It's cheaper to bundle all three than to just have phone and internet.
And lone internet pricing has only kept increasing.
At some point cable will look good again. My biggest gripe with old cable was the dvr options. One hd sports game and you had no room to record more stuff.
When psvue came out and all of your stuff was saved on a cloud, it was a game changer.
But now I hate opening 10 diff apps to try and watch shite.
One game is on USA so open the USA app. This game is on Espn so open the Espn app. This is on peacock so now I got to have peacock. shite they showing games on amazon too? Now ive got to use amazon.

I've about came to the conclusion that any way you go it's going to be $150.00 - $200.00.
You can go straight cable, or a provider + wifi.

Sports are what makes everything expensive. You could recreate something like cable for pretty cheap if you opt for the plans with ads.
Max/Disney+/Hulu bundle is $17/mo
Paramount+ with Showtime is $10/mo (if you pay for the whole year)
Peacock is $2.50/mo (if you pay for the whole year)
When ESPN launches their flagship service later this year for around $25-$30/mo based on an industry estimate. You could get all of that for around $60/mo.
You would be missing out on Fox Sports content plus some other channels like AMC.

Find you a good IPTV provider and stream every channel available in the world for chump change.

It's still YouTube TV sadly. That + 27 from Netflix and prime being included with Amazon if you use the delivery enough, sets up a nice viewing option trio, at like 130/ month using a portion of Amazon annual fee to assume prime video cost.
That's still way cheaper then most cable options, and those always expire in 3, 6, 12 months and double.
YouTube 4 game college football viewing was badass this year. But agree in general all of these are losing the feel of saving or discount from the alternative. That was expected at some point.

Ill take the $80/mos. I just switched to YTTV this week after a sudden direct tv price hike of $160+/mos. So far so good this week.

quote:You mention the amount of channels. What exactly are you looking for? Do you like to have 300+ channels and watch 10-15 of them normally and usually flip to see what's airing?
What are the best options for TV provider?
Or do you pick and choose what you're in the mood for at a particular time?
I ask this as a person that watches live sports, then usually picks and chooses what he wants to watch.
Because I find and use deals, I end up having everything I want including internet - which would be another cost for others - between $80-$100/mo
$20 - Digital antenna - all local channels (one time cost)
Recurring:
$50 - Internet. I have a 250Mbps plan. (I am an IT Systems/Network Engineer by trade. Higher Mbps is great, if the price is right, otherwise they are selling you on overkill).
$8 - Prime. I pay for Prime anyway and you can get discounted membership with a few hoops. Once done, they never question again.
$10 - Disney+(no ads)/Hulu(ads)/ESPN+ - (This is from my Verizon account. I share these services with a friend).
$0 - Max/HBO - I get this from sharing with said friend.
$0-$10 - Apple TV+ - I generally am able to use 3/mo free for AppleTV+ and recycle them. Occasionally I pay for one month.
$0 - Peacock - included for free in packages with other services. I get mine through a $20/yr sub (another deal) to Instacart (also great if order when they have 50% deals on stores - it's hilarious that I spend less money having stuff delivered to me).
$2 - Paramount+ w/Showtime - I have this now with a Prime deal. (I will lose it soon and in a few months later, they will offer it again).
$20 - Fubo - Live sports and live channel surfing. Fubo is another that has a lot of deals with other outlets. Pick a good one and enjoy free Fubo. Then cancel. Within days, they will start offering you please come back for free emails. Rinse, repeat.
Typing all of this, it seems like a lot of time. It is not. I spend maybe 30 minutes a month checking where I am on subs, etc.
And in total, I am paying $100/mo maximum and usually $70-80/mo for everything I watch and my Internet connectivity.

I looked into it a while back and YouTube TV was the best option.

Dish is amazing but pricey. Got on at $80 per year around 2018 but it’s around $160 now and keeps going up.
