Calling you Coco.
I'm an 80's kid, born in 77.
My son is 8. We just watched Neverending Story and he loved it, even watched the sequel. I talked about that with a number of people I know and was shocked at how many have never heard of the movie. Most were younger, 20s and 30s. I couldn't believe that their parents didn't jump at the opportunity to show their kids that movie.
Now I'm wondering what movies I'm missing that he should see.
We've watched
Labyrinth
Grimlins
Goonies
And some others
Next up
Ghost Busters
Princess Bride
Short Circuit
What else do we need to watch?

To be honest, The Land Before Time worked for kids and held up for grandkids. Great first introduction to dinosaurs.
My grandson loves superheroes and watches the World’s Finest movie from The Superman/Batman 90’s cartoons over and over.

He goes back and forth on which are his favorites. So we'll be on a Jurassic Park/World kick and watch those a good bit, and then I picot him to something else and he'll get on a Ghostbusters kick. He also is scared of some shite, so when I first did Ghostbusters I had to FFWD a part of two (like the library ghost at the beginning and Ray getting a fricking blowjob from a ghost

His latest thing that I've got him hooked on is old Michael Jackson videos. I was worried he would be scared of Thriller, but he LOVED it (and thought it was hilarious). Smooth Criminal. Black or White, Bad. Billie Jean. Etc. He loves them

My 6 year old boy absolutely loves this movie, much to the disapproval of his mother. She just doesn't get it. I guess it's a boy thing. I loved it back then and love it now.

I actually preferred The Book of Life to Coco, but both were really good. It's just unfortunate that they came out so close together with such similar themes.
