yeah so far season 5 feels like the first 2 seasons.

there was a clear drop off after Jermaine left the writers room.

I like this show but I feel like they’ve toned back Matt Berry’s weird pronunciations which are hilarious.

they let him go off in the Jackie Daytona episode but otherwise it’s not as prevalent.

The writers do a fantastic job with punchline humor — like the Venus' pussy/taint line at the Teddy Bear Workshop — but one thing that really sets this show apart is the beautiful delivery in-between bits.

There's no reason this statement by Nandor should've been unusually funny, but just the way he said it came out of nowhere:

Guillermo, I don’t like hypothetical brain-ticklers before bedtime, you know thiiis... makes my head heat up.

Lazlo explaining what each store was cracked me up. Wish they would've spent more time in there as it was actually a small part of the episode.

"Ay, I’m being gay over here!"

"Look how wide I am!"

This episode had a ton of takeaway dialogue.

FWIW, having to count grains of rice is based on traditional vampire folklore, and is specifically why The Count from Sesame Street is always compelled to do so.

The scene with Laszlo and Nadja/Colin at the end had me in tears.

I would love to see a full cast table read and "making of" for that one.

How anyone can stay straight-faced through certain scenes with Matt Berry is beyond me.

My favorite was the testing vampire myths.

This has to be one of the most underrated shows currently going.
