I have yet to see either of these and I'm diving in tonight.
Which do you prefer?
Im for sure going to watch both eventually.

Band of Brothers is on another level than The Pacific.
The Pacific is well made and is great TV. Band of Brothers is the GOAT.
TP was made from several books being meshed together, BoB has a lot more continuity and frankly is just a better story.

Might want to watch the pacific first, just because it very much pales in comparison to BoB, though it is decent. You'll enjoy it more that way and then watch one of the greatest shows ever produced, band of brothers.

Watch the Pacific first. You will go in with zero expectations. Then watch BOB. If you watch BOB first then the Pacific will highly disappoint you like it did me.

Watch "The Pacific" first. If you don't, you're going to be very disappointed with it after "Band of Brothers". It's not that "The Pacific" is bad, it's that "Band of Brothers" is one of the best miniseries ever created and "The Pacific" just can't come close to matching it.

This is solid advice.

Maybe it is how I watched them (BoB stretched out over a couple of weeks, Pacific binged in one day) but i found the Pacific to be much more of an emotional rollercoaster. BoB is awesome. Pacific is great too. I admired the heroes in band of brothers when its over. But I felt sadness and guilt for the heroes of the Pacific (as well as admiration) when it was over because of the absolute brutally inhuman hell they lived through.

They are both excellent series. As many have mentioned though, you may want to view The Pacific first. Band of Brothers is the holy grail.

Watch The Pacific first so you can enjoy it to the max....because once you see Band of Brothers, The Pacific will seem mediocre.

BOB is special even though the Pacific theater interests me more.

we watched BoB first and stopped the pacific in the middle. we ditch series pretty easily though.

Is this going to be the first time everyone in a thread on this board agrees? WE CAN DO IT!

BoB for sure. Both are great but as mentioned BoB is on its own level.
my favorite thing about it was the interviews with the real soldiers for the first few minutes before every episode, especially one of the last ones when that old man tells a story about what his grand kid asked if he was a hero....not going to put any spoilers in here but have a box of tissues handy.

BOB is literally the best thing I have ever watched on screen. I've watched it dozen of times through. Never gets old. Crazy thing is it was shot what 10 years ago? Would still be groundbreaking today. Great TV.

Watch the Pacific, so it won't disappoint.

Watch Pacific first. That way you won't judge it as harshly as you will if you watch Band first.

Gonna roll with Band first, I have to watch it now considering how much everyone loves it.

Just remember that by doing that, you won't enjoy The Pacific nearly as much.
BoB is the GOAT series, though.
