It's time to return to the scandalous world of The White Lotus. Season 3 of Mike White's Emmy-winning social satire premieres tonight. This time, the anthology series will call Thailand home. As we've seen from the previous two seasons -- which took place in Hawaii and Sicily, respectively -- there's a sinister underbelly waiting to be discovered in this beautiful vacation locale. Get ready for the class warfare to begin. The new eight-episode installment will feature a talented ensemble cast of mostly new faces. Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell and Patrick Schwarzenegger (yes, Arnold's son) star alongside many more

Just glad we don't have to suffer through Stiffler's mom any longer.

I saw the first episode and it is a slow burn set up ... I think this season will require a bit more patience, but the performances and exotic setting will carry it to the middle when things ramp up including Bangkok as a character and a surprise Oscar winning actor joins the cast.

enjoy

That’s how every season has been. The whole show is a slow burn to eventually find out what happened in the initial setup (i.e. who died). That’s nothing new.

This show is definitely about the journey and the characters more than a lot of other shows.

Looks like there are 8 episodes and they are releasing one episode a week with the last episode airing April 6th.

In Season 1, the tourists screwed over the locals. In Season 2, the locals screwed over the tourists. I am ready to see how it goes this season.

sorry ... an "especially" slow burn up in the first episode. I haven't had access to the first six, but the press has and that seems to be their take. Generally, well received ....

Yes, it's more of the same WL format, but much more locations this season. And better ones really.

For your sake I hope it’s the best season yet I’m pumped for it.

Doing a rewatch of the first two seasons now in prep. Forgot how completely loathsome the two girls are in season 1. I don’t remember disliking them quite this much on the initial watch. Man they are horrible people.

Just finished a rewatch myself to get Mr. Bluestem hooked before S3 starts.

I laughed a lot more the second time than the first time through.

Season 1: Quinn is way more awesome than I remember. Paula sucks way more than I remember. I still side w Shane over Rachel’s wish-washiness; he is also absolutely in the right about his room. Armand’s descent into madness is hilarious and tragic all at once. Mark’s journey to be able to find his masculinity in the midst of a marriage where he feels emasculated by Nicole’s success was much more satisfying this go round. I love how he and Nicole engage Olivia and Paula but still tell them they’re full of shite. This was the first thing I’d ever seen Sydney Sweeney in and couldn’t stand her and thought her character was just shitty, but I understood Olivia better this time; she just can’t be happy for her friend because the ridiculous woke programming she’s bought into tells her she cant be happy being “privileged.”

Season 2: Really hit me in the feels by the end. So much more respect for Ethan by the end; grew a set of balls and took control of what was his. I found Valentina’s journey of self-discovery touching; and Mia’s kindness towards her: she sees Valentina and guides her to a place where she can finally accept herself. I liked Grandpa DiGrasso so much better; he just made me chuckle. Albie and Portia’s journey through red pill sexual politics is done so well; their really good for each other but eons of sexual genetic programming separates them until they come back together wiser, albeit a bit traumatized. And Tanya’s slow burn thriller plot made so much more sense to me this time; White drops all of the information you need figure it out in just a few lines here and there. “Do you know these gays? These gays are trying to kill me.” Still classic. And she resolves her story arc in a blaze of glory that ensures Greg’s machinations are just as tragic for him as they are for her.

Is this the official thread ?

Intense opening

I would not be wading through those waters in Thailand.

Michelle Monaghan is so fine. She seems like she is somewhat attainable in terms of hotness although she’s def showing her age in this show . Same for Leslie Bibb .

Chelsea has some distracting arse buck teeth good lord

Parker posey has a terrible accent. That is so over the top

Parker Posey is one of my favorite actresses but they really had her overdo her North Carolina accent. Looks like Baby Billy & his woman have some type of scheme going on.

Good 1st episode. I'm guessing the 3 ladies really all hate each other?

Man, those set of teeth on the one chick are extremely distracting.

Couple things:

Is the Duke dad the a-hole in The Patriot?

Is the famous woman, Miranda from Heartbreak Kid?

I need those answered.

But I thought it was a great first episode. Love the way the show makes you love the characters first

Woah on seeing Tanya’s husband from season 2. Didn’t expect to see him. He’s back on the prowl now after she’s gone .

In case anyone is having the same question I had, he was the antagonist in The Patriot.
