Is it Walt or Saul?
ETA: Talking about the entire BB universe. BB, BCS, EC

Easily WW. I love Saul but he was like barely in the top 10 in BB when it comes to "main characters".

How many episodes did Walt star in? How many did Saul star in?
If not for Better Call Saul, Goodman would be an after thought compared to Walter White

Easily K. She was behind the scenes for the entire operation
J + K = S
J + K = S

Its obviously Walt of course, so this is a stupid question.
But you could make an argument for a few seasons that it was Gus Fring, especially when Walt became his bitch.

WW was the sun of that universe. Every main character even in the BCS timeline was streaking inescapably toward being locked into his orbit at some distance. The ones not destroyed in his supernova were flung bashed and beaten into empty space.

Walt, of course. Saul doesn't even appear in the show until season 2

I'm assuming when he is referring to the "Breaking Bad Franchise", he means the Universe.
Which encompasses BCS, BB and El Camino.
If that is the case, then wouldn't Saul have appeared in the most episodes?
But the answer is of course Walt

Walt
Jesse
Hank
Skylar
Gus, Mike and Saul are all in the same tier, & I wouldn’t put either above Saul.

Walt never makes it out of the RV in the junkyard without Saul.
One could also argue Walt never becomes what he became without Saul.
But I am talking about the universe as a whole, not just BB.

I asked this question in the main discussion thread and compared it to Star Wars, where Luke was the original main character, but then after the addition of the prequel series supposedly the entire six-movie franchise became the story of the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin. In much the same way, you could argue that the BB/BCS combined franchise is now the story of the rise, fall, and redemption of Jimmy McGill.
However, I wouldn't make that argument. Walter White is still the main mover and shaker of the BB/BCS universe.

we know thats what you mean. its still WW, by a lot.
really dumb argument to make that saul is more of a main than WW. BCS is just a backstory that got fleshed out and that will never change.
an analogy for what you are suggesting is like saying Dexter gets caught as an adolescent without harry teaching him how to not get caught, so harry is the main character. thats obviously not correct. dexter is the main character he just had help.
