Mine would be the most decorated and feared Captain in the universe.

Bender. His no-shame degeneracy is awesome.

Bender and Fry tend to have the best storylines imo.

Same as my favorite President, Richard M Nixon

Yep, Bender
It’s got to be Bender. I’m not sure there is another character out there outside of Roger on American Dad who compares in his unbridled adult childishness. I think the viewer can’t help but want to say and do the things he does if only for a day.

As a Futurama junkie I disagree with all of you greatly. Many of the Bender-centric episodes are definitely not my favorites. He’s a good side character but they made him a focus which was a mistake at times.
Fry episodes are much better.

I mean, the answer is Fry. He’s Homer in space.
Now, if the question is secondary character, it’s Zoidberg. I don’t play golf, but if I did I would absolutely say to my caddy, “Why thank you, golf slave.”

My instinct is to hide in a barrel, like the wily fish

Fry actually has something of a character arc. Particularly in the Frey/Leela relationship angle. And the most impactful episodes like Jurassic Bark, The Sting and Devil's Hands feature Fry predominantly.

Fry's mermaid girlfriend in Atlanta. She was real sweet
