Two of Daniels points came from strikes to the face/head (people tend to overlook that Daniels 2nd point was a strike to the back of Johnny's head after a leg sweep). So Daniel strikes to the face/head twice, gets two points. Johnny lands a clear punch to the face that doesn't get counted. Where is the consistency? You can kick to the face and punch to the back of the head and get points, but can't punch to the face? What kinda crazy rules are these? Also, Johnny lands a clear punch to the body immediately after Daniel scores his first point. It gets ignored by the judges and they keep fighting (which leads to the aforementioned strike to the back of the head point for Daniel) One legged Daniel didn't beat Johnny. The refs did

Okay

A one legged Daniel was competitive with Johnny.

A full strength Daniel, now with MULTIPLE special moves in his arsenal managed to get one point against Barnes.

Barnes would have destroyed Johnny.

I can't find a high resolution picture, but if you have the film at home and have enough clarity to read that this obviously slanderous article was written by a man named "Pat E. Johnson"

...and in Karate Kid 3,..

Guess who was the Referee?

There was obvious bias.

I mentioned this kind of inconsistency in my Overanalyze KK thread.

Also, I watched the end of KK3 last night, and the ref clearly tells Danyasan and Barnes that contact to the face is prohibited.

"Light contact to the body is allowed, and I do mean light, Mr. Barnes. No face contact is allowed. Any violation of the rules will result in a penalty point."

So which is it? Are kicks to the face allowed? And there were clearly punches thrown in KK1 that were counted as points.

And at the end of regulation in KK3, Barnes clearly kicks the shite out of Daniel's shoulder/side like five times in a row. Why are those kicks not points?

Also, I never realized how racist KK3 was. During the tournament alone they call Miyago a slope and a Jap.

And as much as I hate Daniel, Barnes should've been DQ'd several times during that match. He was getting in cheap shots left and right, in Daniel's face SCREAMING at him, and screaming out racist epithets at him about his teacher. Crazy that he didn't get DQ'd.

Daniel was also completely fresh in KK3. He did not have to fight until the final match.

Daniel's crane kick was an illegal move. He should have been DQ'd and Johnny should have won. He was robbed.

TBH, pretty much all those kids would have been DQ'd and the trophy would've gone to one of the semifinal kids at the end of it all. The one thing all three have in common is breaking the rules.

And to the other poster, Dutch would've wiped the floor with Bobby. He would've needed a bobby bag, YEAH.

You’re mistaking Tommy for Bobby. Tommy was a hothead bitch. He was the Squeaks Scolari of the group as evidenced by his dismantling by Daniel and subsequent shocked face.

Again Bobby was screwed.

I think that's part of what resulted in the Lifetime ban. The film was supposed to be based on Kreese ALOT more, but Martin Kove took a job on a series so Terry Silver was created to help pull the weight of the film.

I figured they would have focused on his Vietnam experience. His disdain for Asian people more than likely stems from that.

Sensei was in the shite with John Rambo, so you know he saw his share.

He drops a slope on Miyagi when he’s choking out Johnny at the start of II as well. I remember getting yelled at for calling my brother a slope after watching it. Thought it was just another cool thing to say in the 80s at 7 years old.

The kid called Frank Dux a "Wide-Eye" during his training in Bloodsport.

Mr Tanaka doesn't even blink at it.

So, that evens out KK2 imo. KK3 is on its own though.

The dickheads at Netflix took all 3 movies off two days after Cobr Kai dropped. Great planning on their part.

No it wasn't. Contact to the head was legal in the All Valley Tournament. Larsson was also in control of his kick. He cant control that Lawrence ran into his foot.

You’re so close

Miguel was born in Ecuador, to a father described as “a very bad man”, that his mother had to “learn the truth about”.

And does Miguel look like Barnes, or perhaps someone else from the CK universe?? Perhaps an excessively wealthy and shady international businessman that works in “concrete”?

Found this out last night when I tried to watch 2 with my son. Had to rent it on Prime.
