Two years for Sheridan to think and prepare for this episode.
Plot moved forward by 3 minutes.
Yeah but he got in a Ryan Bingham song, a 99 year old cowboy he's pretending to pay respect to, and himself looking cool and practicing his horse spins and slides.

Only problem with Kayce killing everyone is he is a navy seal so he will have to go on tv and tell everyone about it

There was some "lady" that used to post here bragging about how she had tshirts that said...
"A Litte Sweet, A Little Beth Dutton" and
"You are the trailer park. I am the tornado"
As if that made her sound badass or something.
No... it's cringy and just... well... trashy and trashy can be.
You're probably talking about me "a-hole". I never said I had those shirts. However, I'm pretty sure that most of the women like the Beth Dutton character. I can think of a million ways they could make this show better, though and about half of them include Beth Dutton. Sheridan wrote her into a caricature of a woman. I feel like she was supposed to be rough, etc. because she was raised that way by John. The right thing would be to have her show her softness with Rip and grow. However, not a single character on this show has shown anything of the sort. Sheridan (and his writers) thought 1-2 great lines that women were talking about was getting lots of buzz, so he raised it by 100 and made her sound ridiculous.
And as far as cringy and trashy...y'all don't think doing nothing but talking about how the women on this show look is better? Uh, yeah, cringy and trashy.
Talking about people when you don't know what you're talking about makes you sound like you think you are a badass or something.

Kevin Costner is weighing in on John Dutton being killed off in the first moments of the return of Yellowstone.
The former star of the Paramount Network hit drama was on The Michael Smerconish Program on SiriusXM when he was asked his reaction to showrunner Taylor Sheridan finishing off the Dutton family patriarch.
“I heard it’s a suicide, so that doesn’t make me want to rush to go see it,” Costner said (video below). Smerconish pointed out that his character didn’t seem like a “suicide kind of guy,” and Costner replied, “Well, they’re pretty smart people. Maybe it’s a red herring. Who knows? They’re very good. And they’ll figure that out.”

I hope Sheridan doesn't mess up Landman. I reckon it will have 2 good seasons and then he will start 3 other projects and that show will start its downfall.
this show has followed the Kurt Sutter SOA model to a T
great idea, three seasons worth of really solid storylines
show becomes popular and network orders more seasons
storylines become more and more convoluted and implausible
show ends as a jumbled mess with unresolved plots and characters everywhere

2 years for this shite?
So many thoughts.
agreed...

First, frick Costner for leaving and forcing Sheridan to try to rewrite the end of this series.
Man its hard to blame Costner here....Sheridan was milking this thing and Costner was tired of waiting.

Second, I don't give a rat's arse about what's going on in Texas. This is Yellowstone not 4 6s.
Again, Sheridan wants everyone to know he owns it now...ego man.

Also, I thought the conversation at the end of the last episode was about killing Beth, not John?
I think they want to kill them all.

Jamie has to be shitting his pants knowing now both Rip AND Kayce are going to be coming after him.
Only reason I'll keep watching.

That and Jamie's girlfriend...

You just can't handle a strong, confident female character.

On a serious note, pick Beth Dutton up, drop her in the middle of Dallas (the show, not the city) and see how fast JR disposes of her.

How long has it been since a new episode? (I just looked. 2 years.)
I forgot I bought the season pass until it showed up in my queue on Apple TV.
My wife keeps asking me to watch it and I just haven’t been motivated to do so. 2 years is a long time and honestly I had to force myself to get thru the first half of the season. We’re doing Modern Family for the first time and just hit season 3, and I look forward to that every day. I can’t believe I didn’t watch that show when it was on.

Yep, they obviously think this is the formula that drives the popularity as they keep bringing in other Beth-Like strong and fearless female characters each season. There was old Beth, Indian Beth, Black Beth and now Brunette Beth.

Since everyone we know is watching the show, my wife made me watch it last night, even though I gave up on this series a long time ago and have hate watched for a while.
Of course, my wife was on her phone and doom scrolling 5 minutes into the episode, leaving me to just ruthlessly make fun of everything happening on the screen. This is just so... bad. Beth is awful. Jamie is awful. Even the cowboys are awful now.
Then to be subjected during the ads to 6666 merch and Beth Dutton coozie plugs... that makes it even more unbearable.
I also have really mixed feelings about the whole "let's put real cowboys and cowboy artisans" in for cameos thing that Sheridan has become obsessed with. On one hand, it's kind of cool. On the other, it feels like base pandering. I also get annoyed how now every Tom Dick and Harry becomes an expert on Billy Klapper or Buster Welch.

"You don't know who Scooter McGoo is? You aint no real cowboy if you don't know Scooter. I've been friends with him for 135 years" *slides horse, spins horse around, kicks the plot can down the road again*
