Any of you familiar with Hagstrom guitars ?
Recently got this guitar off Facebook Marketplace. I wasn't really familiar with the brand but took a chance because I was wanting to get a semi hollowbody.
I have to say, this guitar is awesome ! Slim, fast neck, great tuners and P90 pickups.
Got it for $175.00 including a nice hardshell case.
Edit: Forgot to mention the model.
Hagstrom Viking IIP. 2009 model.
Years ago I had an Ibanez Artcore A73B semi hollowbody, and it was decent, but this guitar is so much better from a sound and playability standpoint.

Only familiar because the nameless ghouls from the band Ghost both used Fantomen's at one point. They seem to be a pretty good brand though, and that's a killer price.

This is a typo, right?

No sir.
He originally had it listed for $425, then he dropped it to $225. Texted him to see if he would take $175 and to my amazement he accepted the offer.

That is a steal. Really.

Hagstrom was Sweden's foray in the early days of electric guitars and rock and roll. The Viking is a reissue of the Hagstrom semihollow electric Elvis made popular when he used one on his Comeback TV show in '68.
Here's the only Hagstrom I have ever owned ... an insanely rare, stupid clean and fully functional mid 1960s Condor with original form-fit HSC. Bought it off Facebook Marketplace for a song, sold it for substantially more to the biggest vintage guitar dealer in Moscow via Reverb. Hagstrom has reissued this too in recent years as close as they could - they opted for slide switches instead of jukebox buttons for pickup selection.

I really like the headstock on this Viking...never seen anything like it. It's kind of weird, but in a cool retro way. And the tuners are great.

The art-deco key buttons were inspired by Grover Imperials. My D'Angelico has them - the coolness is off the charts. Only downside is they won't fit in most stringwinders haha.

And you like it that much?
Almost stealing. Good for you.

The tuner knobs are stylish but also look like they maybe have a better feel.

My first legit guitar was a 1972 Hagstrom "Swede" model, cherry red. I gave it to my son many years ago - he has far exceeded anything I could ever do with a guitar and has cut some tunes with it. Here's a link to onne listed for sale with a photo.

Yep, Hagstrom makes pretty good stuff. The Hermansson guy that modifies amplifiers plays them. Pat Smear from the Foo Fighters plays them too.
They still make good guitars for all types of budgets.

My dad has a 1958 left handed custom made Hagstrom bass. I need to get that thing put into a glass case or something.
