I’m going to a concert at the Ryman. I’ll have another full day and night to check out live music. Also, any other place that is fun/lively to hang out. Recommendations?

The places on Broadway can be jam packed. Printers Alley is right there and has several clubs along it with live music, no cover, and fewer people.

I’ve met Jim James, the Kings of Leon, and lead singer of Alabama Shakes there

That’s what I’m talking about, it’s crazy the musicians that frequent there after shows.
Also second Acme. It’s somewhere I used to take out of towners that really wanted to go down to Broadway. It feels way more local, than touristy. Different genres of music, good place.

The Stage, Roberts, Laylas, Legends are all good for country music.
Checkout Bourbon Street Blues Bar on Printers Alley for blues.
3rd and Lindsley for a variety of different music.
Obviously the Bluebird Cafe is famous
Mercy Lounge if they have opened back up yet
The End, 5 Spot, The Basement, The Basement East- for indie, punk and underground music
Rudy’s Jazz Room and Nashville Jazz Workshop for Jazz

Yeah people love that place. I met Mike and Trey of Phish there after a show a couple of years ago
