Anyone get to listen yet? I had pre-ordered it and got it a few weeks back. #1 selling album in the US and all over the world right now.

Not bad. Some typical Gilmour stuff on there and one pretty good cover by him and his daughter. I honestly dont hate this song

I wasn’t excited by the singles they released before the album came out. But once the whole thing was out I listened to it all and really enjoyed it. Even the songs I did t dig before I now like. The song with his daughter is really nice, even though it vaguely reminds me of Dido’s Here With Me. It is a cover and the original May pre-date that record.

Of course the album has some Floyd flavor but it is different enough to stand apart. I’m considering going to see him next month. Saw him in 2016 and it was the best show I’ve ever seen.

I have always been a big boob blonde guy but that chick was sexy AF. Love her voice as well. Though I know very little about her.

And Gilmours daughter is a little odd but she has a nice voice and a very cool dad.

Awesome seeing Marooned on his setlist. One of the best instrumental guitar songs I've ever heard.

I went into his new album hoping for some harder riffs and solos. Which never manifested and disappointed me.

The album may be better on a 2nd listen with different expectations.

That is a great setlist. I wanted to make this show work for me but timing just was not good. I was not going to New York this close to the election and I was hoping he would add a few shows somewhere else.

I have the new album and it has certainly grown on me some. I was a huge fan of ON a Island and like seeing those in the setlist

Please report on the show.

I thought he wasn't going to play any Pink Floyd songs. New album is ok. A little boring but that is DG; much better collaborator than solo artist. He was the perfect guitarist for Pink Floyd.

Saw the Monday show at MSG and thought it was awesome. No surprises there as Gilmour is my favorite, and this was my first time seeing him live.

Gilmour obviously has some age on him, but he stills sounds great and plays guitar as well as anyone to do it. As is typically the case with Floyd/Gilmour, the visuals were also fantastic. Going into the concert, I was probably more excited about the first set because it had several of my favorite Floyd songs - and it was fantastic. That said, I enjoyed the second set every bit as much. Sorrow, Piper's Call, A Great Day for Freedom, and In Any Tongue started it off and were great live.

He "finished" (pre encore) with Scattered, which seemed a little anti-climactic to conclude with a new song when I first saw the setlist, but he crushed it with that one. Could be recency bias/seeing it live, but that is probably my favorite of his solo songs.

Overall, I'm super happy I made the trip and would not hesitate to go see him again if he has another tour in him - which I think he may. He seemed to be really enjoying playing with his daughter and mixing in a lot of the new/lesser played songs.

Speaking of the new album. I too listened to a single or two when released, then kind of forgot about it. But I started listening to it prior to going to his concert, and it really grew on me. As noted, I think Scattered is great and A Piper's Call is probably my next favorite, but they're all worth a listen. It's Gilmour, and it definitely sounds like him...but if you like Gilmour, you should give it another shot if you've moved on.

Here is Comfortably Numb in MSG and Scattered at the RAH. Neither does being there justice, but it gives you an idea. I suspect he'll release a DVD eventually as well.
