Like a good boil, you need a good playlist.

I'm looking for good quality music that makes you feel good. A wide range of music that's not offensive. Something for 7-70 year olds.

A dash of classic rock, new rock, some blues, a dash of soul, a little bit of country, (good)90's alternative and ofcourse a little Louisiana music with all things in between!

I'll start...

Sly & the Family Stone - If you want me to Stay
Black Keys - Act Nice & Gentle (Kinks Remake)
Aloe Blacc - Green Lights
Alabama Shakes - I Aint't The Same
Stevie Wonder - Superstition
Mayer Hawthorne - The Walk
Red Stick Ramblers - Made in the Shade
Wilson Pickett - Mustang Sally
Paul McCartney - Queenie Eye
JJ Grey - Mississippi
Alabama - "Dixieland Delight / Will The Circle Be Unbroken"
Los Lonely Boys - Heaven
Old Crow Medicine Show - Wagon Wheel
CCR - Midnight Special
Talking Heads - Take me to the River
Stealers Wheels - Stuck in the Middle
Eddie Floyd - Knock on Wood

...and so own
I have 200 songs on the youtube playlist that I was going to use for our annual crawfish boil, so I may or may not already have it own my list.

What'cha got?

That's a pretty old recording. No clue who is on the steel. I just know Doug could put on a helluva show. There were very few performers at the Prairieville Pop Festival that got better receptions than him.

IIRC it's from '61, the Kershaws' followup to "Louisiana Man", which had been a surprise top 10 hit on the national country charts

Van Halen - Little Guitars

Widespread Panic - C Brown

Tom Petty - about a dozen different songs

Steve Earle - Guitar Town
