Parking at Red Rocks - Experience?

Bringing my boys to their first concert this April at Red Rocks. We visited years ago on a trip through Denver, but not for a concert. Just went to see the venue since it is opened as a park and we were nearby.
How bad is concert parking? Reading online is confusing for sure. I don't mind arriving as early as necessary. Is it foolish to think I'll be able to get a spot? The shuttles I just looked at were $55/head. I'd like to avoid an unnecessary $220 for transportation.

There is tons of parking out there but go a little early and park in the north lot. Much shorter walk to the venue. But I would probably suggest Uber. They can drop you off at the very top and its super organized and runs very smoothly after the show.

I'd be down with Uber, but I'm always afraid of it being a total shite-show after events. I suppose Red Rocks/CO has their Uber stuff more organized than the Mississippi Gulf Coast Colosseum

No brainer go early and park in Upper North lot.plenty to soak in while you’re waiting.

it’s a double edged sword
if you park in the north lot you don’t have to climb to get in, but you’ll have to climb to get out
Vice versa if you park in the south lot. The advantage to the shuttle is they will drop you at the top and pick you up at the bottom

I'm not overly concerned with the hike either way. I plan on doing hiking the next day as well. I just really couldn't get a fix on how likely I am to be able to park period.
It sounds like if I get there when they open (2 hours before) I shouldn't have any issues getting a spot somewhere.

Go in the first entrance and cruise up to where the road splits to the top. Park on the shoulder heading downhill. Just a quick walk to the first set of stairs to the bottom level of the amphitheater.

We saw young the giant there in June of 2021. We took an Uber from Denver in and it was great but you’re right…after the concert was an absolute shite show.

We'll be there too, going to the Thursday show. First time there and to see that lineup will be awesome.

Very cool! I have Thursday tickets but will likely unload them. I managed to get both nights hedging my bets that I’d be able to take the kids for the Friday show.
I’ve seen each band independently but this should be quite the show with them intermingling and I’d expect a heavy dose of fun nonsense throughout
