What are some Christian rock bands that you didn't know were Christian bands?

Was trying to remember a song the other day and looked up the band and it was Lifehouse (I knew they were a Christian band). Ended up in a rabbit hole of Christian bands and a few surprised me.
These are ones that are "listed" as Christian bands online.. not sure how accurate.
Bands that I'm familiar with but didn't know were Christian (or at least categorized that way):
Skillet
12 Stones
MxPx
Copeland
Emery
Bands that I'm familiar with that I knew were Christian:
Lifehouse
POD
Switchfoot
Flyleaf
Relient K
Underoath
Anberlin
Mae
Creed (long debated)
The Fray

Mutemath fought like hell to shed the Christian Rock label.

12 Stones, POD, and Underoath are bands I wouldn't consider Christian.
12 Stones, after having seen them in concert, can't buy into that label.
POD is probably more spiritual than anything else. Plus they drop F-bombs in that song 'I Am" (even though the meaning behind it is pretty spiritual).
Underoath's last album had multiple songs with language on it. If they were a Christian band, they aren't anymore.

Some of my favorite bands are on your list.
If you aren't familiar with Colony House I would suggest checking them out. They are from Nashville (Franklin) and two members are the sons of Steven Curtis Chapman an icon in the contemporary Christian music world. Fabulous band that I have seen several times live with Switchfoot and/or Needtobreathe. Excellent lyrics and music!

They were so generic that it may as well have been.

Let’s be honest, they’re all probably lying.

Smashing Pumpkins - Billy is a Christian, and Gish has a few Christian songs on it.
U2 - Boy is a Christian rock album
Slayer - not that they are a Christian rock band, but Tom Araya is a strong, practicing Christian. Shocking I know
Black Sabbath - "After Forever" was written by Geezer to show everyone he really is a Christian.
Alice Cooper - he was a horror performer, but he is a Christian

They're not a Christian band, but they are Christians. Lead singer is a part of the Whosoevers

I made the cover of the reveille when I got into an argument with a bunch of uber Christian protesters who were picketing the Varsity before a concert. The evil, sinful, satanic rock and roll band scheduled to play that night? Motherf$&king Switchfoot!

Was not aware of this. Do you have a link? Wanna talk about the duality of man.

October is the album, as Bono described it, about God.

Somewhat related, but I recently learned that Sia and Peter Furler of the Newsboys are cousins.

U2 as a whole is Christian band that has never been officially labeled a Christian band. About half their songs are Christian overtones or have a direct reference to the Bible with lyrics.
In concert, they use to end with The song 40 with the crowd singing in unison like a church. The lyrics are straight up psalm 40.
