I realize I’m late to the game on this one, but I just can’t get enough. This is an example of a song that gets better and better each time I hear it. The story is wild and fun, it’s got a great hook, and it’s an “honest” tale of living the fast hard life. Also, there’s a mouth harp. Very good song here.

Tyler made some great songs before he sobered up and turned into a self righteous prick

He kept making great music. That’s what he did.

Shake the Frost is one I can’t get enough of. It’s a live version and it does get better each time I hear it.

He’s probably pretty liberal.
Part of this board have a 2-headed Mount Rushmore they worship. Bocephus and Nugent.
Like somebody else mentioned I have to put their politics aside. My personal GOAT band is Pearl Jam. When Vedder spews I just pretend it never happened. I’d love to see Jason Isbell when he talks I ignore him. Isbell crossed a line though going after another artist whose lyrics were too right of center. frick you. Don’t pretend to know what the people want to hear.
Tyler is just another. If he makes nothing but songs about butt pirate firemen, then I guess I stop listening. But I will still listen to his older stuff.
Nose to the Grindstone is awesome.
Theirs a video of him doing Pink Floyd at a show in what looks like a bar that is amazing.

Your takes would resonate more if you kept your opinions to yourself and focus on the next one up at your glory hole fadge. Do your job, leave the music opinions to those without their mouth full.

Tyler has a unique sound these days. And if that sound agrees with you, it’s a fantastic ride.
His shows are legit.

Yeah, it’s a great song. Thanks for proving me right.

Tyler Childers is not very good. I can tolerate a couple of his songs. Whitehouse road isn't one of them. It's very average to below average.

I’ll say I don’t love the studio version but there are some great live takes for whitehouse road.

Probably because they want to tell you about two queers fudge packing in the mines and say this is totally not political.
totally not political.
but these songs arent political
I swear we arent political
sorry, but frick these terrorist loving figs
quote:
Tyler Childers has thought a lot about what it means to be an ally. "Even if you have the privilege of walking through this world unfazed, it's more important than ever to stand with and for and up for things, to be vocal," the grassroots country star said during a recent long conversation.
totally not political.
quote:
Childers was sequestered with his wife Senora and new son at home in Kentucky when the Black Lives Matter movement and the pandemic inspired a nationwide outpouring of protest. A period of self-assessment led the songwriter, known for his richly detailed portraits of contemporary rural life, to become more explicit about his beliefs.
but these songs arent political
quote:
First came Long Violent History, a bluegrass album framed by a stirring anthem decrying racial injustice. Then a triple album with his band The Food Stamps, Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven?, confronted religious intolerance while holding on to the joy of worship.
I swear we arent political
sorry, but frick these terrorist loving figs

I was at the Grand Ole Opry when he walked out in front of a crowd of the most conservative redneck tourists you could assemble under the roof built by John Anderson (he really helped build it), and they went nuts for him.
Pretty amazing for a guy who is rarely if ever on mainstream country radio.
