Is it Luke Bryan, Aldean, Church, or someone else?

Florida Georgia Line is the most popular. They are also the worst.

Also, Eric Church isn’t bro-country. I’d say he’s more like country-rock.

I prefer Aldean but popularity goes to Bryan.

Agree Church isn't bro country. He's far too talented to be pushed into that genre.

Aldean is completely unlikeable. Sucks because his first album was actually very legit.

Yep. He doesn't always come out with great stuff, but he's a creative songwriter. His most recent album almost felt like a mix of country, rock, and funk.

I'd have to say it's Peyton Manning and his genius commercials (with some assistance from that Paisley guy).

Yes. He's talented, but he chooses to bro-countrify his music.

Kenny Chesney probably has the fattest stack of cash from his music. Est worth 250 million

but

Toby Keith is filty rich from his music and part ownership of Big Machine record label that signed Taylor Swift for her 1st six albums, Rascal Flatts, Tim Mcgraw.....
Est worth 500 million

Me and a friend from work have this long running joke amongst ourselves where we’ve tried to carve out our own brand of country that we’ve dubbed “sleaze country”. Our working band name is the Denim Bulge but we also have a side project called Girth Wind and Fire. His stage persona being Girth Brooks and myself of course being Crank Williams. Together we are putting the c.unt back in country... Gotta keep ourselves entertained somehow.

Aldean was the first person that came to mind when I saw the topic. The reason his first album was legit/actually good was it had songs by non-bro-country songwriters. Big Kenny & John Rich wrote Hicktown and Amarillo Sky. Rich also had co-writes on four or five other songs, as did David Lee Murphy.

I also agree that Eric Church is far from the bro-country label. His newest album Desperate Man is solid. The title track was co-written with Ray Wylie Hubbard. Monsters and Some of It may work their way into my regular rotation.

Absolutely those two but I'll add Aldean and shithead Brantley Gilbert to the list.

I didn’t think about Gilbert. Good call.

What about Midland? They are literally a fake band, though perhaps their “music” is not bro-country. They just embody fakeness though.

I'm not familiar with them, can you explain this? Sounds intriguing
