Hey there, I just got concert tickets to the ZB concert in Knoxville, and while the ticket shows the section and the seat number, it does not have the row, anyone know why this is? TIA

I hopped on the queue at 10:02 and was 20,000+ in line.

Luckily was able to secure tix for me and my wife in Birmingham! Good luck to all fighting ticketmaster.

4 family members all had the presale code - we got 6 each. A little surprised at how high the list prices were...for Zach Bryan 14 months from now lol

2 of my 6 were front row - list was over $400 for those I think. The ones several rows back were "only" $275.

I made it to checkout with decent seats for 7/31 San Antonio and it wouldn’t let me checkout, kept redirecting me to the warranty selection. Transaction timed out. Frick ticketmaster.

I logged on 20 minutes before and was over 10000 in the queue for Birmingham. Thankfully they added another show because it sold out and times out and I had to join the other queue at 10:40. Then was over 2000 in that queue and finally got tickets at 11

$250 for nosebleeds at my local venue presale. Hilarious. Impressive though to be commanding Taylor Swift like prices when 90% of the general public has never heard of him.

Individual concert ticket prices are not set by ticketmaster. They are set by the artist

for many artists (who have the clout to demand it), 100% or more of the door goes straight to the artist. Ticketmaster adds fees to the ticket price which are shared by the artist, the promoter and the ticketer. The venue gets a guarantee upfront from ticketmaster who then reimburses themselves from the fees.

The fees suck but they are not the issue. The issue is the face value and that is set by the artist, period

if anyone would like to educate themselves on the very complicated issue of out of control ticket prices, I recommend the following podcast which will explain it all clearly and correctly

I finally got around to listening to this. It was by no means "clearly" explained. These have to be some of the worst podcasters I've ever heard. They're clearly trying to emulate the Last Podcast on the Left format - and it sucks.

If it had been "clear", they could have done it in like 15 minutes in a much more linear fashion and without telling the same stuff 10 times.

I also disagree with some of their baseline assumptions - e.g. about dynamic pricing.

Still, thanks for the link, I did learn a few things.
