8-20 from deep. Good percentage, but where can we get more production there? Will need vs Suns

Something that has to be corrected next year.

Suns are honestly sort of the analytical antithesis Boomer fans cream their pants over in many ways.

They are actually 21st in threes made, only make 1 more a game than us and mostly dominate through the mid range.

We actually match up surprisingly well with them and I’ve been saying it would sort of shock me if we don’t take them to at least 5, maybe 6 games

BI has to get his 3pt shot fixed. He should be hitting at least 2-3 a game

It'll come from Trey playing more minutes. Maybe the Lakers pick. Maybe Graham's replacement.

Jabari Smith will space the floor nicely when we select him #1 overall with the lakers pick

That’s massive for us considering we struggle from 3 this year. Jose going 3-4 was yugeee

It’s definitely something that needs to be addressed this offseason as well as Bi going back to the drawing board and working on that 3 pt shoot and getting it back to what it was the first couple years

I swear this team needs to take about 2 three point shots per game. Tonight was nice, but we shoot ourselves out of games at times trying to keep up from three. BI is an elite mud range shooter, CJ and JV are both incredibly solid. Do what you do best.

Suns are 21st in threes, 24th in free throws made, and 28th in shots in the paint.

So they don’t shoot threes, they don’t get in the paint, and they don’t get to the free throw line. Yet they’re 3rd in offensive efficiency.

It’s really incredible.

I have no idea what Book and CP3 shoot in the midrange, but it has to be insane.

BI really benefited from Zion with more catch and shoot opportunities.

that’s actually a crazy stat line. The mid range game is so important in this league. It’s one of the main reasons why im so high on Branham in the draft

I like the mid range game better. BI and CJ are elite with their midrange game. Zion and JV at the rim. The only threes we should be taking are when there is nobody in the same zip code as the ball handler when they are behind the arc.

Analytics needs to evaluate 3 pt shooting, misses that lead to easy buckets.

Compared to mid range shooting

Branham is really underrated. I expect him to be a top 10 pick when the draft rolls by. Elite midrange and elite finisher at the rim. Dude shot like 72% at the rim as a freshman. 3 level scorer that actually plays good defense.

We are a bottom team in the league in 3ptrs attempted and the starting 5 shows that to be true.

We one of the few teams in the league that trots out a true two big front court.

CJ and BI are predominantly midrange assassins. And while they are more than capable of knocking down threes, the majority of their shot volume is inside of the arc.

And that leave Herb whose weakest skill set coming in as a rookie was his shot. He has been adequate as a catch and shoot guy but he still has a long ways to go.

Even without high volume 3pt shooting we have managed to be a topb10 offense with CJ, BI, and Jonas. Zion replacing Jax next year is going to make this team just stupid 8n offense, and we may not need 3 pt shooting from the starters
