If the Pelicans front office doesn't make any moves, I will loose it.
I am not one to criticize, nor do I over emphasis trades... but we have assets that others want in BI, CJ, and Green, and need to get SOMETHING back in return ... if for no other reason than to start the rebuilding program.
I live just west of Toronto, and was a Raps fan for a while (actually going to their G-League game Friday night)....don't really see the fit for them in Ingram, and agree that bringing RJ in doesn't help...could be wrong, though.
Also, do not really see us re-signing Brandon.
In a perfect world, I would part with Ingram, Green and CJ now if we can attain reasonable value, and FatAss over the summer if he regains market power/tradability....but agree, thats 'in a perfect world.'
Have a great day, everybody !

Don't worry they will make a move.
It may only be Javonte Green for a 2nd to get under the tax though.

Those seem to be facts that are in dispute.

Thanks Tigerin ... I would actually be okay with that.
As I have written elsewhere, I am surprised there is a market for Javonte, but if we can exit his contract for a 2nd round, and slip under the cap, I am all for it.
I would think - and please correct me if I am wrong - that a contending team could use CJ. At this point, I would surrender him for a couple of seconds, hopefully a little more,
Do you think I am being optomistic ?

CJ would make a really nice piece for a team needing to get over the hump on shooting/scoring. As we thought he was going to be here, it's just the rest of the team around him failed. CJ has at no point been the Pels problem or a negative asset.
He's averaging his 4th highest ppg season of his career, one year removed from being arguably the best three point shooter in the entire NBA, and one month removed from showing he can still drop 50 on you. I'm not saying someone is going to give up some really nice piece or top pick for him, but he should bring back something positive if they do deal him. Which I highly doubt they will fwiw.

The tax is the only reason for any urgency this year. We're going to suck the rest of this year and will lose a lot of scoring punch in the summer. The rebuild is happening.

Thanks IW .... great analysis - I appreciate your time and thought.

It is insane that we waited this long to make a move. One day left and we are still a tax team. The season is over, tear it down and stock up assets.

Why are we still holding onto Zion? We just watched his brand buddy get moved. Now almost every Superstar is getting shopped. It'd time to move on. Turn the page.

I hope not. But if we keep this management team, it's possible. The best plan, for him, is to wait until the summer and let him walk.
