---could be quite useful to any serious contender that is in a "win now" situation. Teams such as the Mavs or Warriors spring to mind. I could think of a coupla others that might also fit in that description.

---Probably get more than fair value for Herb...at this point in time.

Would need multiple 1sts coming back for Herb to get traded, Mavs don’t have that and I don’t see GS giving that up

Agree, but heard from an agent friend before Thanksgiving that we were talking to Mavs on a deal and Herb's name came up. I actually thought it sounded too far fetched to bring up in public, but this guy's been right before. I just don't see it though. He also mentioned Lively + picks. With Yves coming along can't believe that makes much sense...

Herbs on arguably the best contract in the league, and wants to be here/gives his best effort every night. I don’t want to see Herb in another jersey ever

There's not a single player on this roster that should be untradable for the right price.

I was actually thinking about this last night. If you want to “blow it up” which sounds like the majority of the board (and myself) want to do, does herb fit our timeframe? We wouldn’t contenders for at least 3 years which would put Herb close to 30.

He also might be our most valuable asset.

Herb is our most valuable trade asset. Several seriously contending teams would luv to add Herb to their team and to be honest, it might sound strange, but Herb actually "deserves"... to play on that type of team. He might be the only player on the Pels who I can say that about.

On your "timeframe" reference...normally I would say that you make a good point BUT...I think a "Herb-type" player has a much longer time to play at a very high level. His style of play can easily lead to his playing well into his 30's at this very high level. Think of all the grisly 3 & D players that have hung around well into their 30s...and been VERY effective.

Bottom line...90% of Herb's amazing defense... is played with BOTH feet on the ground. He will be a VERY good overall player...well into his 30s. So, I'm not sure the normal timeframe applies...when it comes to a player like Herb.

If herb is traded im out renounce my Fandom
He is young , plays his arse off and is not killing the team financially.
Un protected picks from a contender are worth shite.
Look at our Lakers and Bucks picks from AD and Jrue
I hate Griff

If we trade Dyson and then Herb before trading CJ/ Zion/ BI then i'd be done. Just out of pure incompetence.
