Driving into the city tonite for the game . Any parking suggestions? Is it a good idea to pre book a spot in one of the garages ?

I've always used the old New Orleans Centre garage for Pels games. Its close, big, and easy to get to and leave reletively speaking.

I’ve never prebooked.
Garage is $20. Credit card only now, I believe. It’s a little steep compared to alternatives, but I don’t mind paying it for convenience and safety.
I always use the Poydras St garage entrance. Less traffic and usually much less of a line there. And leaving and exiting is usually pretty quick too.
ETA:
Others have since clarified, but this is the Superdome garage and entrance I was referring to …

Thanks. Is that the same as the energy centre garage?

I've done the exact same thing and haven't had a problem all year.

No, he is referring to a garage across Poydras from Energy Centre. That garage is also fine ($15).

No, it's the one closest to Champion's Square, across the street from the arena.

If you buy a parking pass for the garage from the ticket office before the games it is only $10. I am taking a group to the Nuggets game and we are just parking at the Casino and walking the mile. We plan on eating before so it works out.

I usually park in the Hyatt garage. It's also $15.

I hate the garages. Depending on when you get here if you can get street parking on Loyola between the interstate and Girod that is the best. There's a lot on Poydras across from Walk-On's that is solid as well.

I always park in garage 2 for saints and pels. $20 and you're right there. I'm usually home in 20 after the game, doesn't take too long to get out.

I've parked at the Premium Parking lot right off of Loyola. Its Lot 250. It's about a 10 min walk to the arena, but I get on the interstate instantly right after the games instead of being in the garage for 30+ mins.
The lot is right next to union passenger terminal. It costs me $22 bucks last time for 4 hours.
