Let's just start by saying we all love Jose.

However last night was a summary of the last 10 games or so.

Poor telegraphed passing
Poor shooting
Poor decision making
Elite and pesky defense

Gotta wonder if it keeps up, what his true value will be when even elite defense doesn't stop play off teams

He must still be bothered by his ribs. That’s when the downturn started.

If we can get a few of our other guys back he may need to take some games off and rest

Teams leaving him wide open behind the arc and him still missing is painful but all his other intangibles make up for it by a wide margin. His shots will start falling again and teams will have to put a man out on him. Lanes will open back up and old Jose will be back

I am not worried about Jose. He brings energy like no other. He probably should sit though and get healthy.

Jose role is about 15-20 min off the bench of defensive havoc then you can extend it by how he is playing and effecting the game.

He’s not a scorer but his decision making and passing can and should improve. We just need him to be more traditional coming off the bench and using his pesky good defense and high motor. I do think we could use another scorer coming off the bench. Or at least someone other than Trey that can consistently knock down shots when BI, CJ or Z aren’t out there to create offense

We saw that in the playoffs last season. Even though his stats looked solid, and he had a few moments with CP3, it kinda felt like he was a liability defensively.

Disclaimer: Just want to point out, when you get an undrafted rookie that is good enough to be in a playoff rotation and put up decent numbers, that's a HUGE win any way you look at it, so that wasn't a negative post in any way. Just an evaluation or my take on his play i the playoffs.

I think this is just part of an 82 game season for a player like Jose. He sustained a minor injury that obviously had an effect, but he should normalize here pretty quickly. I have no concerns about Jose.

Question still stands, whose minutes would you take to give to Kira?

Only answer I can see is Graham, but I don't think that's a fair answer either because Graham was all but out of the rotation and only getting 8 minutes per game even when not having our big 3 fully healthy. I think once we're healthy, Graham is out of the rotation or at least potentially is, so I'd still wonder who Kira would take minutes from.

Tbh it’s more like the majority of his games, especially shooting wise. Fans tend to hang on a few special moments of his an pretend that’s the player he is

Assuming Pels become serious playoff contenders for the next several years, I'm not sure I can see Jose being much of a factor in the not too distant future. Same for Kira, although Kira does have a bit more of an upside than Jose.

Nah I don't think that's fair to him. He has had more than a few moments. Maybe a few big moments, but he has been solid overall. Up until this recent stretch he looked like he was becoming a legit 3 point threat. Maybe he's come back down to earth or maybe his injury is lingering and it's effecting him. But nobody is putting him on a pedestal and acting like he's an all timer. He's a very solid bench player who's energy can legit change games and a guy that every single team in the NBA would want on their team.

Some of Y'all, very few but some, need to pump the breaks... you forget what BI missing means- look at Trey, he's been on a shooting % slump last 10 games too. When BI is back, we not only have more depth but ELITE spacing creating shots for shooters. Also, I think Jose is mildly still injured too.

Last night's lack of depth led to very few open looks and open drives for Jose. I know you said last several games, but the same is true. We don't need Jose to be an All Star or even a starter or 6th man of the year, we need him to be our spark.

Jose just hitting his sopohmore slump. Herb had it, Trey had it and now Jose. He'll be fine for sure.

Yep, his role becomes a lot "easier" when we are healthy. We don't ask him to do as much.

I wasn’t insinuating he wasn’t solid overall, nor that anyone thinks he’s an all timer.

That said, there is a certain infallible infatuation with him by some that will eventually lead to a let down (we are seeing it now) that isn’t fair to Jose

depending on the game and team, Kira should take some of Jose's minutes.

Part of Willy's pay grade though.
