Yes I know I have zero life.

Bored last night, slid the NFCCG dvd in and gave it a watch.

Looking back, ummm how in the world did the Saints pull that out their arse

I thought I had watched it before but maybe I didn't b/c my memory of it was rather different.

Saints had 74 yds offense in the second half. The OT had 3 plays reviewed plus two PI's that gave NOLA first downs or put in position to kick FG

I remember Minny putting the ball on the ground but my goodness, I think they had 5 FUMBLES losing 3 with the 2 INT's

Without the effort of the defense, that game could have been filthy ugly and something we all would want to forget

It was a great win, no complaints

does anyone remember it differently as time passes??? I really did not remember the Offense being that BAD in the game, seemed they ran the ball better than passed

other interesting thing was pre-game Joe Buck said Payton told the team's WR that NOLA could throw for 500 yds on these guys (Yikes, not close )

I'll watch SB44 before the upcoming one, I've seen that one more so I won't be so surprised

I remember PT being an animal in this game. One of the most beautiful screen plays for TDs you'll see IIRC

first TD which was easily the best Saints drive of the game

two of the other td's came after a 70 yd ko return by Roby (so bout 30 yds for the O to go) and another came after a fumble inside the Vikes 10 yd line

kinda my point. very short drives....thank God

I was trying to think back on who the AFC Championship game opponents were since we knew that outcome before the Saints game. I saw that it was the Jets and I can only imagine I was pulling hard for them against the Colts at the time.

I wasn't. The jets matched up ver well with us earlier in the year. Really the only team to have success against our offense

We had 2 defensive TDs and we won by 14

same

Vikings (before game) scared the living shite out of me and I had reason to feel that way

and wanted zero part of that Jets team

I remembered the reg season game as well, they really gave the Saints fits early and that was when the team looked unbeatable frankly

wanted nothing to do with that Jets team

Wasn't Sanchez the QB at the time? I can't remember any scenario where I'd rather face Manning over him. But I can't even remember the game at all. I was probably just nervous about the Saints game coming up after.

And the history books will forever read:

Thus perished Brett Farve. A sad beaten old man, naked except for his tube socks. A shell of a former great man who had overstayed his welcome in the NFL.

And

Thus perished Brad Childress, no one ever cared. No one even remembers his name anymore.

Surprised Goodell didn't try and do something about the outcome. Maybe even he realizes there was no unfair advantage for the Saints.

The Saints had 0 turnovers in the playoffs in 09. As the saying goes, the team that makes the fewest mistakes...

I seem to remember a Reggie Bush muffed punt that the Vikings turned into a AP fumble around the 10 yard line.

I think you're right. I guess it was the Offense that had 0 turnovers.

was an awesome game. a straight battle between 2 great teams.

BTW, favre earned my respect after that game. hard to believe tat an old man like he was could take those kind of shots and still come back in the game.

I think the team and esp brees felt a ton of pressure to win that game in front of the hone crowd. I was there, and just being in the crowd was incredibly tense. They had the weight of the city, the dome, and history on their shoulders.

The swing of emotions was pretty incredible especially being there. It was so horrible seeing Favre drive down the field as the game was coming to an end. Then he threw the pick and it was so incredibly glorious. But waiting on Hartleys kick felt like an hour of a huge weight

I basically couldn't move while I sat in the Dome & watched the Vikings drive down the field on their last drive. Some incredibly drunk a-hole in front of me that I hadn't seen all season could see my anxiety and would tell me to relax after every play, which made it worse.

Tracy Porter I'll love you forever!
