Spencer has a live arm and put up numbers running for his life at sc. Their oline was awful.

He'll be the backup qb, Haener and his noodle arm will be on the practice squad

Anyone who wants the current regime to stay is far more likely to hate the saints TBF.

It's low IQ people who hate the Saints deep down and want everyone fired. They aren't reading the reports out of camp that Rattler looks like a rookie and is the third best option on the team.

Or some people knew Allen was a bad selection from the get go. I honestly predicted he would last two seasons before getting fired.

I’m usually right in my assessments but didn’t account for him playing the two easiest schedules in Saints history to save him.

our best bet is if Rattler can become a russel wilson type qb in that could be ready to take over for Carr in 2 years. His time ain't now but we want all of our guys to be the best they can.

But…but thats not a Russell Wilson type

expectations are tempered and people don't go thinking he's got to prove he can replace Carr any time soon

If he outplays Carr in camp and practice then the Saints are beyond fckd with that contract and that should be all the evidence anyone needs for Mickey to get excised from the Benson will and shitcanned

Mason was on the other end of that throw. Kid is playing very well. Saw a rep vs Alonte that almost decleated the CB.

I think hes easily been the third best wr in camp despite the other guys on this roster. Been a great surprise.

well, Russel beat out Matt Flynn as a rookie, so that would be awesome if he becomes Russel Wilson

I forgot why Rattler left OU. Was it because of competition from Caleb Williams who eventually transferred to USC?

Technically, it was because of LACK of competition...

Riley wanted Williams to have the job. He pulled Rattler when they got behind against Texas, and Williams led the comeback, and that was it.

Later that year, Williams looked mediocre a few times and OU lost some games they shouldn't; but Riley didn't put Rattler back in the second half to try to win. Rattler knew then if he was going to play anymore, he had to transfer.

I still think the Saints got a huge steal, getting Rattler that low in the draft.

Who’s got the better arm? Who knows the offense better? Who will perform better once the lights are on and the game matters? Who commands more respect from their teammates?

Rattler has better arm.
New offense for both but I’ll give Carr the edge here since hes a vet.
Carr hasn’t lit it up in the past ten years but closed last season well. Rattler you don’t know since he hasn’t played so can’t really answer this.
Usually the guy who wins demands the respect but unless your taking a poll from teammates, its not really answerable.

2 of your questions are basically unanswerable. Rattler is more athletic and has the better arm but Carr is a vet whose had some good moments during his career. Obviously, Carr should start but if he struggles- Rattler may get a chance. Your questions have been answered but you need to ask better questions when “holding feet to the fire.”

Seems like Rattler has made a lot of these recently. Excited to see what he does in a game soon.
