Bryan Bresee missed practice with a foot injury

IRVINE, Calif. — Second year defensive tackle Bryan Bresee was not in attendance for New Orleans Saints training camp practice Saturday, and coach Dennis Allen said he sat the session out with a foot injury.

Allen did not expand upon the nature or severity of the injury, or how long it may sideline Bresee.

Bresee had spent the first three days of training camp occupying the same role he held as a rookie, rotating in behind starting defensive tackles Nathan Shepherd and Khalen Saunders.

Shocker!!

Injuries are exclusive to Saints players and they're all always hurt all the time forever and ever and ever

Him rotating behind Saunders and shepherd is actually the most worrisome.

It's probably just to start camp(senority)

Shepherd was horrible last yr. I honestly thought he was going to perform much better when they signed him.

Missing on him puts the dt spot in a hole. Saunders has been serviceable. Breese should get starter reps going forward.

Can't wait for the season to start and the dumpster fire to pick right back up where it ended last season. Maybe, just maybe, they'll fire Allen (and Loomis please) and they can actually rebuild this team. And anyone saying "but they ended on a high note" can kiss my arse. This team's true colors were their midseason form.

Yeah they didn't really end the season on a high note IMO. They beat a shitty falcons team led by Arthur Smith big deal. Losing to the Bucs at home without scoring a TD and then kicking their arse on the road when it was just about too late to even matter was a two game microcosm of the Dennis Allen Saints

Probably hopeful optimism, but I think they are already starting the rebuild. Because of the way so many of these contracts are set-up, you will not see a hard rebuild. So many void years added on to make the team cap compliant one year, only to screw the next 3+ years. It will be a gradual rebuild, which may also be the reason for hanging on to DA.

If your team is destined for a rebuild, you are close to $100M over the cap next year and will somehow manage to find a way to win 8 games and pick in the teens; you won't have HCs running to the door for the opportunity. There will be other, better, options, younger coordinators have already turned down opportunities they felt were not the right fit. It very well may be a painful experience over the next few years, because it will take at least 2 years to clear some of these exorbitant contracts.

No there are other locker rooms that have adopted the same “get my monies I don’t owe nuthin” mindset. It’s a cancer that MT started and it’s spread onto other players. Hopefully our leaders can change the culture but I’m not convinced. With that said I think Bresee is a standup player and will do whatever it takes to stay healthy

MT isn’t the first cancer ever in the nfl. But he’s the biggest cancer to influence this current saints team.

No. But You think the limited info fans get about injuries, severity, timelines etc. is pretty bad in NO.

Can anyone give even a basic description of what the expectation is on Breese, Miller, and Olave?

Or will we know they are not seriously injured when they return?
