Got the franchise tag, Ben Solak of the Ringer made the argument that knowing that the Bengals are going to bank on Burrow and Chase for the future, teams looking for a top WR on the trade market. Most chatter I've seen places is a 1st rd or early 2nd round trade value on Higgins. With our other needs, I wouldn't like giving up 14 for him and I don't think 45 would cut it. He has a noticeable history of injuries, but if I'm reading it correctly, he's only missed 3 or 4 games total from it.

Big body receiver, would be #1 if not for Chase. I'm not sold on Olave as the future #1. Dumb or nah?

I don't think we have enough base salaries to convert to fit him in.

If we are dealing high picks for a WR reaching FA, we should target Aiyuk instead.

I like Tee Higgins but it’s not worth it unless we can get him to resign.

It would be great to get him, but I wouldn't want to give up a high draft pick for someone who we would have little chance to sign long term.

If he was the missing piece to a Super bowl, then make it happen. But too many holes to fill.

Why not go after a free agent like Calvin Ridley, Josh Reynolds, Equanimeous St. Brown, Chase Claypool, etc.?

We need a WR, but we don’t need to go all in on a #1 guy we can’t afford.

If anything, we need more draft picks, not less.

I don't think the Saints can afford him long term especially with other needs on the roster

That's dumb. Just as soon draft a WR at #14 and get him cheap for 5 years.

Possibly unpopular opinion: if you can keep Carr upright and give him enough time that he doesn’t get nervous and start dancing, we have all the receivers we need.

its even more unpopular to talk about Carr starting out the year with a complete shite OL, trevor penning who has not had the ability and availability to develop properly, carr getting his ribs broke multiple times playing through injury on top of playing in a new system for a beta coach who couldn't command the respect of the players in the lockerroom with also Kamara on suspension all leading to Carr actually playing decent ball down the stretch when things smoothed out. But lets sit here and yell cap space argggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh till we're blue in the face.

I’d rather burn the capital to take Odunze or Brian Thomas than for Higgins and his salary.

Let’s trade Trey Hendrickson straight up for him!
