Do we not need a WR/DE?

Just wondering why we picked up a QB? Very odd pick.

You don’t draft for need in the 5th round.

Need a guard more than either of those spots.

At this point we do not need a DE. You’re past the point of adding someone you’re confident will contribute early. I’m not interested in adding just another guy to a pretty crowded room.

We probably have multiple targets still on the board at those positions with just 20 spots to wait.
If Rattler was their target at QB, then they felt like they had to take him then before someone else does.

Who do you truly have at de that you can count on?
Not saying you are going to find that guy here.
Now Kamara does look like he can bring it off the edge on passing downs.

you don't fill a need with a 5th rd pick. You really don't expect those picks to make it to the final roster; if you do that's great. So if there's a damn QB with starter potential still there, of COURSE you take him. He doesn't pan out, oh well.
BTW, it's looking like Wingo might still be there when we pick at 170, which would make this look a lot better.

It’s very unlikely you’re getting that difference maker now though. I’d rather try to develop Turner and Foskey than add a 7th DE to the roster.

You just said you don't think a 5th rounder will make the roster. Why do you think they spend months studying these prospects?
Yeah puka nukua sucks. Should've cut him before he made the team. 5th rounders make teams every year.
If the saints take 3 5th rounders, one or two will make the final roster.
