I find it funny that people always say this before any of these guys ever step foot on the field for us.

i'd grade it a C+... having to go T for the 3rd time in 4 years hurts the overall talent upgrade ability to the whole team, and reaching for Shough at 40, going DT when we just added a guy via trade and 2 guys recently drafted at DT, I felt we could have been better served looking at an edge rusher there...

but hey, maybe we got a bunch of HOFers just now... shite, who knows...

I think every single pick, aside from the Stutsman pick was taken ahead of their projection. Now I’m down to pretend like it was a great draft but if you handed anyone this lineup a week ago they would’ve told you to go frick yourself.

So true, those fans sucking the knob of Ireland and Loomis would’ve downvoted a mock with our draft 1 week ago.

But I'm sure saying they'll suck first is fine.

I'm happy we didn't spend future draft capital. For that alone I'll give it an A grading on a Saints curve

Geauxldilocks, Alt26, and High Life all in agreement.

I’ll always want to be on the opposite side of that history.

just Shough.... but given the position we are talking about, it makes it a lot worse than if we reached for a S or WR or something like that...

the guys we got, for the most part, are solid players... but it's the overall fact of having to draft at positions we've already invested a lot of capital at in recent drafts already, or have spent FA money at... having to correct these mistakes, so early on, doesn't allow you to address other areas and you lack overall depth and talent, in the long run....

I think a 'safe' draft. Seems a solid B to me. When a team needs a lot of new faces thats the way to go. And they still love their team captains

This seems like one of the first draft classes in awhile then Saints selected all players that played in a Power 5 conference. No player taken from a small school or FCS school.

May have more to do with the transfer portal than draft strategy

you’re not allowed to be objective on this board. The face painters have been hiding for the past 4 months. They take over the board post draft and into the offseason. No one is allowed to disagree with their positivity. Until the results of the season take place and they’re back in hiding

A lot of this draft was admitting they made a lot of bad picks. So justifiably if these too don’t pan out, it’s time to be fired.

Nine draft picks. Nine different positions. I give the Saints FO an A for spreading the depth around.

I don't disagree but at least we haven't made some of the glaring mistakes we've made in the past: small school guys with potential, trading up and giving up significant picks for guys that eventually never worked out.
