I get because he played at Marshall he was a step down in talent but not really. It’s not like he played in the Ivy League or JC, Marshall still plays some of the best teams in college and this guy has done nothing but produce and get after the QB. He looks like he’s carved out of stone and he’s the type of athlete you want as a 3-4 OLB or he can put his hand in the dirt on the edge. Jalon Walker is a popular name and rightfully so but if we ended up taking Green instead I wouldn’t be upset about it.

Projects as a likely pass rush only edge who won't be able to be good against the run. Too many physical limitations (arms, weight).

Add that to small school production and character concerns, and it's a no from me, dog.

Character concerns so likely completely off the Saints board

Maybe bc of our recent history with Davenport and I don’t even remember the other dudes name who only has a few more stats than I do in the nfl.

Probably my favorite player in the draft this year. His tape is insanely good. I was hoping to get him at 40 but of course his stock has been rising like crazy over the past month. 9 feels like a reach but I wouldn’t complain

most likely the Saints will pick someone we haven't really talked about.

the OT Simmons from Ohio State would be a guy I'd take a long shot bet on

Seriously? Rape? I didn’t know that I admit that changes things. Was he acquitted or is it ongoing? He just looks like a can’t fail pass rusher to me. I’m not big on measurable as much as my eyes. He just looks like he was born to sack the QB. I do think Jalon Walker is the more well rounded def player but I think Green is the better pass rusher. Bradyn Swinson or Kyle Kennard in the 3rd would be a steal too.

While he seems to have plenty of speed, agility, and bend around the corner, his size and lack of playing strength would likely limit his ability against OTs who could neutralize/negate his speed rush. Also the lack of playing strength could cause problems on his ability to set the edge in run defense.

Then there are the two accusations; one in high school and one at Virginia, who suspended him which prompted him to transfer to Marshall. He said he was never questioned (at least in relations to the high school accusation), but would he really say anything else?
Mike Green says he left Virginia after sexual assault accusation

Yeah, I’d be quicker to dismiss it but there are multiple allegations, years apart iirc. No clue if he’s guilty or not…I’ve only read a little bit on it.

Another project pass rusher with freakish upside but from a small school ..

I'm on it.

Accused at least twice

Now being unlucky with one false accusation can happen, but twice in a short period of time?

Payton Turner. Who has been good the 5 or 6 times he's played over the years.

The Saints only take captain/senior bowl types in the first few rounds. This has been the case since at least Ireland got here. I don't see them deviating for Green, especially with the level of those accusations.

That’s him! Couldn’t remember his name. Only thing I remember is he was hurt more often than Davenport.
