If you became apathetic to the NFL after The rams no-call in 2018

And realize that it’s entertainment with a loose agenda on pole positioning certain teams into favorable situations.
Would you admit that the Saints magic run
In 2009 also had that same favorable agenda that played out in our favor?

So the NFL called in the 5 Vikings turnovers and for us to kick the shite out of most teams in the regular season?

Show me the non calls from both teams and we can talk.

No, I admit the turnovers were legit.
I do remember a play though, pass interference on the vikes on our last drive? That seemed pretty shakey
I may be remembering it wrong

I don’t recall a single controversy that year.
Killing the QB was still allowed back then. So other than hits on Favre and Warner I can’t think of anything.

it probly did. But, i have lost interest in the NFL since 2018. Along with Bountygate, its just too much.

50/50 call. There's misses and calls for that "PI" 10 times a game, every game.

When you look at the stat sheet of that NFC championship game, the Vikings definitely had more offensive production, but something that gets glossed over a lot is those two good kickoff returns that the Saints had.
Roby had one and then Pierre Thomas had the other in overtime. Those were some very important hidden yards if you will.
You know and then in that Rams game the Saints really had a chance to put their foot on the Ram's throat early in that game and they just didn't pull away far ahead enough.
Now don't get me wrong that missed past interference was the most egregious f****** thing I've ever seen. But at the same time the tough part about that game is they just didn't do enough when they had a chance to really put them away early.

Mike Pereira, the former American football official and later vice president of officiating for the National Football League (NFL) retired after the Saints Superbowl win.
CSP spoke to Pereira and the officiating crew right before he called “ambush” coming out of halftime to make sure they knew what the Saints were doing so no penalty of any kind was getting called on the Saints.
The successful onside kick by CSP and the subsequent lack of calls going against the Saints got Pereira basically fired.
There was time left in the game for Peyton Manning to tie the game and potentially send it into OT where the refs could work their magic.
However, Manning threw a now famous pick six against the Saints to ensure New Orleans won the Superbowl.
CSP outsmarted the Colts and the officials to win the game. RG has been punitive toward the Saints since the Superbowl victory.
The Saints did not win the Superbowl with any egregious calls or no calls. Manning shite the bed and CSP outsmarted the refs.
CSP stripped his offense down to bare bones for the game. During the week leading up to the Superbowl, the NFL during a press conference said the game officials would be watching the Saints complex motion offense for illegal formations and motion violations.
CSP called a press conference to counter the NFL press conference and said the Saints have studied all plays that each Superbowl referee likes to throw flags against and such plays were getting removed from his playbook.

Its the free agency situation for me, you dont pay them they are all pro like Baun and Hendrickson and you do and you get Peat and Michael Thomas. That and the NFL injury situation on all teams is just outta control. I don't know if its the lack of practice time or whats going on but every team has two or three of there best guys out for the year. You don't see that in college football.

Great breakdown and piecing stuff together. I always speculated that the reason for the pill popping investigation and bounty gate was retaliation for 2009 and how we destroyed the script. Whether it was for Warner, Favre, and/or Manning; I assumed it definitely wasn’t for Brees to get to the SB, and definitely not to win it. So the league retaliated with not only their investigations, but also have their investigation hit the media during the middle of the process

Good point.
It was completely out of character for Brett Favre to throw interceptions at an inopportune time. Never happened once in his first 18 years in the league.

What people forget is the blatant hit to the helmet in overtime that should have negated the interception by Brees.
Then in the next game Kansas City hits Brady in the shoulder and it is called a hit to the helmet.
League wanted to get Brady that title.

The intended WR was interfered with when Brees got hit in the helmet in OT making it two no calls on the same play. The network did a quick live edit with no replay. Cue the field goal and big bow for the turd the NFL just presented to the viewers.
The no call at the end of regulation got compounded with two more no calls in OT. Three critical no calls in such a compressed timeframe in the NFC Championship game was blatant evidence of game fixing.

Yes
I would
It is absolutely nothing but money making entertainment
We were extremely “lucky” to get to the SuperBowl

I have found it hard to care as much since 2018. That stole something from my soul.

If the Saints didn’t exist
I wouldn’t watch the NFL
And don’t watch if Saints aren’t playing
