Fournette is overrated. He isn't worth a top 10 pick (no RB is except AP and LF7 isn't another AP). Drafting him while we have a bunch of other needs would be stupid as frick.

He is big, strong, and fast. However, he doesn't have a lot of wiggle to him. If the hole is there, he's gonna hit it like a beast. He needs to incorporate more shiftiness and timing if running room is slow to develop. I love him but not on level with AP at this stage or when AP was a junior.

You're not the first one to say it. More than half of non-LSU posters agree with this statement.

LF will be a great NFL running back. Just because the Saints have much bigger needs does not make him overrated. If we had a top 5 defense and our O-Line was set, everyone would want him here.

Drafting Leonard will keep the Saints relevant after Drew leaves

Not worth a top ten pick? You're a fool

He's only the top rated prospect by far who would have been a top ten pick as a sophomore last year.

Elliot was a top pick and 7 is light years better.

But where Fournette really distinguished himself was in his ability to break tackles. He had 85 forced missed tackles as a runner alone (he added 10 more as a receiver) — the highest number in the nation. To put into perspective just how good that is, Heisman winner Derrick Henry of Alabama had 76 as a runner – on 96 more attempts than Fournette.

And no running back is worth a top 10 pick imo, but that doesn't mean he's not going to be a hell of a player

Tingle, you're being obtuse. Fournette is like if Reggie Bush had Earl Campbell's illegitimate child.

I will take Fournette and hope that we get rid of our whole stable of way below average runningbacks including the guy we wasted 2 draft picks to get in the 1st round.

Yea, because a RB is what makes a good team

Doubtful that Leonard is ever what AP has been, and look how many great seasons the Vikings have had.

If the Saints pass on LF7, I hope he goes to a team in our division and whoops our defenses' arse twice a season. Of course I hope the saints win those games but seriously, he is a once in a 20 years type football player.

What LSU guy that everyone on this board in the last 3 years wanted has not panned out? Tyrann? Odell ? Jarvis ? E Reid? I've seen everyone want these guys and they haven't disappointed. Leonard will be that next LSU player we didn't get just like the others that is one of the best at is position.
