Can Kellen Moore help groom him into someone similar than Hurts? That would be a good pickup for the Saints future while we rebuild. Thoughts!

Give me fields all fricking day.

Fields looks like a 19 year old hurts in terms of throwing ability. Think it’s probably too late at this point for him. Hurts was improving year over year towards the end of college/first year or so in the pros.

Honestly it'd be my #1 priority if I was Loomis
I like rattler but he has a ways to go

Only if the team can trade Carr and have another team pick up 1/2 or more of his contract. Then I would only sign him to a 1 year deal.
It's time for the Saints to draft their QB of the future.
Everyone is trying to make Moore out to the guru of Hurts but prior to going to Philly he was a pass first coach and showed great adaptability to work within the talent that Philly had.
IMO if Moore is building this team from the ground up he's going to get a great pocket passer that can give you something with his legs if he need to, but he won't go out and try to find or make the next Hurts.
IMO If Nussmeier comes over as OC the Garrett's betting odder to land in New Orleans goes way up. And if they move on from Carr this season it's a tell that they're willing to shoot for the #1 overall pick to get him.

sure, if he is a free agent. If we have to use draft capital then HELL NO.

Please don't hang your hat on Nuss. Rewatch LSU games and you'll see a QB who panics, and tends to throw off his back foot much to often.
Sure, he can grow as a player, but this isn't Jayden Daniel's. Jayden held on the ball because he didn't want to force turnovers and had an awful OL his first year.
Nuss had one of the best OL in the country, even with the injuries. Sure they had a rough 2 game stretch, but Nuss' problems started during the Ole Miss game, but it was forgotten because he threw 2 nice balls to save the game.

Jayden also had 2 years as a starter before his first year at LSU. That was Nuss' first year starting. Also Nuss had NO run game nor did he have superstar WRs. Not saying Nuss is gonna be great and improve to the level of Burrow or Jayden, but you're discounting what he had to work with and being a first year starter.

If he were basically free…then sure.
He likely will not be, so locking him up for multiple years and guaranteed money will further set us back if he can’t further develop a guy that has enough experience under his belt to be a better passer than he is right now.
Bite the bullet on sucking arse next year and let Moore pick his guy in the draft

I’ll admit, I haven’t watched a full Justin Fields game in the NFL but what I have seen has been horrible football. I’d honestly rather a healthy Carr.

I don’t get the love for Fields. He didn’t impress me in Chicago or Pittsburgh. If we trade Carr, I’d rather a one year rental like Jameis, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Cooper Rush or Mac Jones. They’d all likely be cheaper.
I know it’s cool to hate Carr, but he is better than Fields.

No one is comparing Nussmeier with Daniels. At least I would hope not.
Baring a complete melt down Nussmeier will be a 1st round pick in next years draft and likely would have be a 1st round pick as the 3rd best QB in this draft.
History shows that it's very unrealistic to think Arch comes out early as all the manning family put a premium on finishing college and I'm sure he's not going to say screw you guys what do you know? ( I know you didn't mention Arch but I interjected this because I know many thing he will come out and be the top pick.)

He'd be great as the next generation Taysom.

Steelers not letting him go.

So Jayden had a running game? Another excuse for Nuss.
Jayden was our running game both years. Nuss EASILY could have had 500 yards rushing if he just tucked it and took what the defense gave him. Instead he threw into double coverage or ran around instead of pushing up into the pocket.
All of these aren't new problems.
