loved me some Turley - him pulling the defenders helmet off and throwing it for them fricking with our QB - will forever be one of my fav moments as a Saints fan.
got a gold Turley jersey after

Imagine if he and Jeremy Shockey had played together

Turley was a real character and a popular player at one point but he could be a real jerk.
I even had his back after his boneheaded personal foul penalth cost us the Jets game because at least he was taking up for his QB. But he obviously took that way too far.
I remember listening to him on WWL one night, while he was still on the team, just ripping in to the Saints organization. He was callng Loomis a joke of a GM, saying that he was "nothing but a bean counter". It was obvious that he was trying to burn his bridges so they would ship him elsewhere, which they promptly did.
Glad to hear that he is doing well now.

Ima say it again to everyone who ONLY remembers him throwing a helmet and having a USA tattoo:
Dude trashed the team and the city and culture once he landed in st louis.
He can suck a dick and frick right off

And ignore that his meltdown lost us the game.

Maybe it’s because it’s almost 20 years ago, but for some reason I’m not remembering the pre Brees and Payton era as well as I used to.

We do this all the time on here!
*** But what did he say? I don't remember any of this. ***

I was listening. Just like the previous poster said,he called Loomis a bean counter. He just suddenly went off on the organization. He was traded to the Rams not long after this.
On a side note I stood near him Super Bowl week at House of Blues at the Judas Priest/Anthrax show. You couldn’t miss him.

Was this interview done at the studio or was it on site at a remote somewhere?

So did Hebert when he went to Atlanta. Nobody seems to want to remember that.

Just a regular interview on WWL. Buddy D's show.

He also flew around like a bird on the floor of the Dome in a Falcons jersey but somehow is the Head of the Who Dat Nation.

Hebert has repented his sins and has been given absolution by the guy in the pope hat who sits in the plaza level.

I would have loved to see Turley and Shockey on a Saints team together.
