Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, who missed the second half of the Wolverines' season with a turf toe injury, has suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out of the school's pro day later this month.

So apparently while recovering from Turf-Toe he’s not injured his Hammy.

The Saints just don’t have a good track record with injury prone players. He would be off my board tbh

Turf toe (when the toe is extended further than the natural range of the toe) then an injury to his hamstring (after likely not running much due to the turf toe) during recovery doesn't mean he's prone to injury.

This is very similar to the Lattimore situation when we drafted him

OSU had to develop a specific stretching regimen for Latt because he had chronic hamstring issues. Pulling a hamstring is not the same thing.

I’m not talking about the specific injuries. I’m talking about a top tier CB dropping and being there for us to take at 9 due to injury concerns

I don’t want anything to do with him before even knowing about this. I’m hoping he gets picked before us to push someone down I want.

Johnson isn’t worth the 9th pick IMO. If there’s a good pass rusher or OL there you take them. I love the TE from Penn State but bringing back Juwan killed that Mason Graham would be my top choice besides Carter who will go 1 or 2 but Graham probably goes top 5. If Will Campbell is there I’m taking him. If they want to keep Fuaga at LT then Campbell can fill that gaping hole at LG or maybe Fuaga moves inside or out to RT and Penning kicks inside.

I’m not likening Will Campbell that high either.

I’ve read several places he doesn’t have the wings for Tackle in the NFL one a regular basis and doesn’t show the bend to be or to move inside unless he develops over a few season.

Not saying he’ll fail but there a lot of bust potential there. IMO which ain’t much since I’m just a part time mock GM/scout. lol.

This is the first time I have heard anyone say that Will has “a lot of bust potential”. He would be a Saint for life and give them home town deals. We could do a lot worse with this pick.

I don’t. I’d rather Barron if they go CB at 9.
