I don’t mind continually kicking the can down the road. It’s a bill that will never come due. Cap will always go up, NFL will always have another year in the future where it generates billions of dollars (unless the league were to ever fold where it then still wouldn’t matter anyway). It’s silly to NOT use the cap this way.
HOWEVER, to be $32million dollars over even the 31st worst off team and have this terrible of a roster is a disgrace. Kick the can down the road by overpaying elite talent to come here. Instead we’re tied up with MT13 who is horrible, Carr
, aging defensive has-beens and DA coaching them all. Our roster is garbage so to be $81m over the cap with a shitty roster is a really bad look

The frustrating part is I believe this was supposed to be the season we finally caught up with the can then the Carr signing plus a few other things and right back to the can being several years down the road (unless we void Carr after next season).

And yet he still keeps his job and his buddy Dennis too. All they needed to do was sacrifice the 3rd wheel to the crazy train, Petey boy and they are good to go another 5 years of mediocrity on the field with the worst cap in NFL history year after year after year. That’s how fricking clueless your owner is, Saints fans, in case you haven’t been paying attention. If one of the horses in Kentucky needed an enema she’d know well before she knew the score to the most recent Saints game. I hate being negative because I love the Saints but there’s no going back for me with this administration. It is time to completely blow this fricker up and build from the ashes.

Saints ranked 12th in the NFL in dead cap for 2023.
We will restructure/make moves and be fine for 2024 just like last year.

Lol no one is whining or crying. People can have an opinion thats not positive about the Saints- we don’t have to all be blindly optimistic either.

To some Saints fans, the front office has never made a mistake.
Of course we’ll get under the cap it’s a mandate. But here it’s celebrated and Loomis will be praised again when we’re in conformance, even if it means another $40M plus in dead cap for 2025.

We were 12th in dead cap last year with 29 million.

No surprise we were 12th you dumb frick, we kicked the can on some of the dead cap to this year and next. And we have to do it again this off-season to conform.
We have the worst cap situation in the league and you finding one nugget doesn’t change we’re currently 32nd in over the cap (which is much more relevant today). Get a brain you emotional twat.
