We have some real bitches on this board. IMO, there were only 2 elite coaching prospects this cycle. Ben Johnson, who was always rumored to Chicago and Vrabel who was a lock for New England. If Aaron Glenn had never coached in New Orleans, no one would have wanted him. Liam Coen is an unknown, Pete Carroll is 100 and Dallas is just dumb as shite.

The Saints are competing against no one and really have only missed out on Vrabel and Glenn (not a huge loss). We have all been begging for an offensive coach and Weaver is the only guy left that is not on that side of the ball. If we want a steady hand, they hire McCarthy. If they want a guy who showed promise, they hire Kingsberry. If they want a leader of men, they hire Weaver. If they want to go the up and coming OC, they get Brady or Moore.

Honestly, the only guy I don't want is Rizzi. Any of the guys listed above are major improvements over Allen. Outside of Vrabel and Johnson, the coaches already hired are no better than the guys we still are interviewing.

And to be completely honest, Johnson would still be considered the up and coming OC and as far as how he'll do as an HC it's still an unknown. He could be the next McVay & Shannahan, but he could also be the next Zac Taylor, Daboll.

I think he trends closer to McVay & Shannahan, but it's still an unknown.

Our fanbase is probably the worst in the league. They act like a bunch of drunk emotional women. Apparently since they haven’t hired a coach yet that means nobody wants the job. It does seem like they’re gonna have their choice of Brady, MM, or Moore. I’d probably rank them in that order of my preference but bringing in MM although isnt a sexy choice, he’s probably a top 8 head coach. He’s won everywhere he’s went. I’d also be interested to see what he can do again without being neutered by Jerry Jones. I honestly just like the upside of Brady, young, innovative, has connections with the most successful coach in our history, and everywhere he’s gone there’s been success.

In this day and age, you need a leader of men. You’ve sold me on Weaver

I really like Weaver. I am not that much into offense vs defense. If I am interviewing him, I would want a clear vision on the offense he would run and who he would bring in to do it. Would probably want him to have an experienced play caller more so than the other candidates.

I forgot to mention Kafka. I think he is stuck with the stink of the Giants from this season, but he is an Andy Reid disciple with championship pedigree. He is lower on my list, but he did make Daniel Jones look playable.

You say … we are “in a good spot”

Hmmmm

If you ignore the following facts… then YES… we are in a good spot !!

1) The absolute dearth of talent in the ENTIRE roster

2) A Bloated salary cap that is tens of millions of dollars in the hole for the next 3 years (2025, 2026, 2027)

3). Mickey Loomis has a lifetime job

Otherwise…….
I’m 100% in your corner.
We are DEFINITELY in a Good Spot !!!

On one hand you can put your faith in Mickey and his team of yes men and believe they are conducting a thorough and extensive search for the next HC or you can cast doubt on a guy that didn’t want to fire the worst coach in the league and continues to make horrid decisions that has set the franchise back years

Maybe you’re the drunk emotional woman that continues to run back to your deadbeat husband ?

The same guy making the decision thought Dennis Allen would be a good hire and compared him to Bellicheck, Landry, and Noll.

Color me skeptical that we’re in a good spot.

I didn’t say i have faith in Loomis. But, you’re also talking about the guy that hired Sean Payton. Do i think they’re doing this the right way? Yeah i do. Do i think they’re gonna hire the right guy? No idea. But, to think they’re just doing a bunch of nothing during this process makes you fit the description of our fanbase perfectly.

I agree ….. each coach that’s remaining on the board is all about the same (very average) after we missed out on the 2 highest rated coaches.

Bring in whatever Coach you like….
Pull straws to get one…. I don’t care.

The reality of the 3 points I made… is what awaits the new coach and what makes the Saints job so daunting and difficult.

I like a bunch of the options out there just don’t want the saints to be lazy again and promote from within like Rizzi.
Kafka is pretty much a no for me as well.

Yeah, they’re gonna have their hands full that’s for damn sure. The only way out is to draft insanely well the next two year. Especially this one.

I think they put all of their eggs in the Glenn basket and are now resetting to the real search

You gathered that by the multiple visits they already had planned with other candidates?

As said earlier, we have some drama queen bitches on this board. We could hire prime Bill Parcels and this board would bitch about him. No coach is winning a Superbowl next year with our roster, but the right guy could win the division with our current roster. We can get off of Carr next year and our cap is not terrible in 2026. Complain all you want about how the DA era was handled, but the Saints are primed to get a good coach.

If you think the fanbase is represented by the lowlife mouth breathing few on this board, then you are just a clueless as they are

Chicage, philly and LV are the worst of the worst fanbases. Get some perspective
