Who was going to take him? Only a couple teams need a qb and some drafted before us in the 2nd. Cleveland passed twice. Vegas traded back. Pitt isn't drafting until late in the 3rd.

Cleveland and Seattle both took 3rd round QBs. At worse we took him 1 round early to secure his pick.

He wouldn’t get drafted in most classes. He definitely wouldn’t have been drafted in last years class. He would never have declared for the draft in the first place if he had any eligibility left. I expect this opinion to get downvoted but none of the fools downvoting me knew this guy existed a week ago. Now they will pretend it’s a great pick
