Since 2021, QBs picked outside the top 12 have been a disaster

Your point on QBs drafted outside the top-12 is spot on! From 2000-2020, 66 QBs in rounds 1-3 (picks 13+) had an 81.8% bust rate. Only 10.6% (Cousins, Hurts, etc.) became reliable starters. The trend holds—teams are rolling the dice with these picks! #NFLDraft

That's only a 4 year window. That's not enough data to make this a telling stat

I hate dumb cherry picked stats and stuff like this. Why pick 12? Why recent history?

You’ve got Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, Jordan Love, Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy who were after pick 12.

What about Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Caleb Williams, Daniel Jones and Josh Rosen who were in the top 12 but sucked?

What's the bust rate of qbs regardless of draft spot? I would think it's 50/50 on top 10... maybe worse

Didn't see that. That's definitely more telling.

Exceptions to every rule but wasn’t Purdy Mr. Irrelevant in 2022?

What are the stats for 1-12? What determines if a player is a bust?

Applying statistical data to an undefined metric is kind of nonsense.

Cousins was a 5h round pick, Hurts was a 2nd several QBs since 2000 picked after 12 have been good/great. There is no magic formula it’s always a risk.
