The Annual “I’m Out” Saints Season Ticket Thread

I couldn’t find how to turn off the “Pay as we play” mode on the SeatGeek Season Ticketholder section so I called the Saints Ticket Office and they manual turned it off.
Come this Friday, I’ll lose my Season Ticket holder place.
I’ve been a season ticket holder since 2006, the same seats in Section 127, Row 10 right behind a goal post. Easy access, knew some folks around us, I liked the seats even though you really couldn’t see what was going on in the other end zone. For me the cons finally really outweighed the pros: the intersection of I personally don’t care as much about the team, mediocre team performance, a lot of away fans nearby, and consistent inflation on the ticket prices.
In ‘06 the seats were $500 each, this year they’re $1,700 each.
I’ll just buy or get tickets for a game or two per year and easily get enough game day experience that way.
Good luck and thanks for the memories.

I’ve been in the “not wanting to renew” mode for the last three years. This year was even worse and I wasn’t going to renew for sure. But having them since 2001 made it hard to let go. Ended up talking to the people on the row above me and they want two of my tickets.

Yep. Did the same a few years back. Haven't regretted it. The reality is that the product on the field, the NFL product in general, the fan experience, and general electricity of a Sants home games are all things of the past for me. Too many away fans, too expensive (doesn't stop at ticket prices. Holy shite look at our concessions). It's kind of sad, but I'm happy that it was good when it was good.
Sports in general is hitting a breaking point I feel. It's nuts that if I want to bring my wife and two kids to a good game with decent seats, you might have to shell out $800-$1000 when factoring in tickets and parking, food and drink. Two games a year? Forget about it, we'll take an extra week vacation to beach instead. shite is dumb.

I wrestled with canceling mine most of last season, especially after they didn't really do shite in the renovation to the loge level endzones.
Going to ride it out for sure this year, and maybe next. Getting that bum DA out of the org gave me some life.

Exactly. It’s just a football game and honestly a pretty shitty experience for an ultra premium price. I honestly don’t know how anyone over 30 with kids and a decent amount of responsibilities is even that into shelling out that kind of money to watch a football game when you can buy a badass TV for the cost of two games, just relax and enjoy it more.

The Saints took my seats a few years ago that I had for almost 20 years to make a standing room only, bar area. Then gave me an option to buy worse seats at almost double the cost of my old seats. That on top of the reasons you mentioned above are why I told the ticket office to go fug themselves and now enjoy the game from home. No more waiting in line for a $12 beer.. Pissing in a trough inside of a smoke filled bathroom next to 20 guys.. or having to hear "That's another fan impact play!" on every single 3rd down stop.
And last but not least... no more listening to the singing of "peoples health, peoples health, peoples heeeaalllltttthhh!!!!".
I know its a money maker for them, but if I wanted to have that many advertisements thrown at me, I might as well sit on my own couch and watch the game for free.

What a horrid experience that should give every ticket holder pause before renewing.
The Saints have shown they are an arrogant poorly run organization who places no value on you or other ticket holders.
When there was a rash of in game vehicle break ins 2 years ago, the Saints sat idly by and did nothing to beef security to protect the fans.
The Saints consistently lead the league in injuries because they force the players and fans to go to the 3rd world medical care at Oschner.
For those reasons I’ve been out for 2 decades, it’s only getting worse with Gayle and her minions in charge.
