There will be at least 1 and maybe 2-3 of the consensus top 10 players available when the Saints pick at 9.

The Saints will not take one of those available top 10 players.

They "surprise us" just about every year.

The last 2 1st round picks the Saints drafted were surprises to no one. Bresee and Fuagua were heavily speculated on prior to the draft.

except the last 3 years. Really haven’t been any surprises since Sean left.

Who? Shouldn’t be hard to name them.

Graham won’t be there, Campbell probably won’t be there

Breese maybe.

Fuaga was one of several players we would have drafted, if available. In fact, there were a couple of other OTs that we would rather have dropped to us.

Penning was talked about, but no one could have know why we were trading picks to move up to get.

Wouldn’t be so sure about this. A couple months ago? Yeah 100%. But it seems like he may drop.

They “disappoint us” just about every year.

You don't need air quotes around disappoint us, that's why I said "surprise us".

I've nailed several of the positions they drafted but the only player I called prior to them picking his was Cesar Ruiz.

He was a good pick they just didn't do what they should have done (And what many speculated their plan was ) and moved McCoy to Guard after Brees retired and let Ruiz be the center, his natural position. and let McCoy be a guard where he was better suited than Ruiz to excel in.

By definition, there will be at least two before they place their pick. Though I am not sure there is a consensus of the top 10.

Who voted on this?

Ever stop to consider that the Saints’ (or any NFL team for that matter) don’t have the same rankings as an average Joe on fricking Tigerdroppings who gets the majority of their info from regurgitated cliches that get thrown around way too much pre-draft?

Some of you people are so out of touch with reality. The draft really amplifies that

This! At one point there was a conversation about Hunter & Sanders both going top 3 if not 1 & 2. Now looks like Sanders is falling to day 2 and maybe day 3.

Only way to get a “consensus” top 10 would be for every team to release their top picks and get a weighted score. Of course, the results would blow a lot of people’s minds on any sports message board

IF Carter, Hunter or Grahmn are still on the board, we better take him.

We know Loomis is a fool, but can't be that dumb.
